Good to know

The daybed must be combined with two mattresses, Single. They are placed on top of each other when you use the daybed as a single bed, and next to each other when you use it as a double bed.

To create a double bed – lift and pull out the extra bed base.

The day-bed is not to be used as two single beds, it should only be used as a double bed when the bed base is pulled out.

Mattress and bedlinen are sold separately.

Great ValueAnonymousWe've been using a FYRESDAL daybed as our main sofa for over a year now and it's so sturdy and practical. All solid metal - including the slats! No more upholstery cleaning, with toxic chemicals and waiting for it to dry. We just machine wash the cushion and mattress covers, and the metal frame is a breeze to keep clean. The slats mean it is well ventilated and fluff doesn't accumulate. We tried out 3 different mattresses on it until we found a super firm one which suited sitting (sitting is a smaller distribution of weight to sleeping). We like it minimal and breezy in Summer, and add a bunch of throws and large, soft cushions in Winter for cosiness. There's plenty of room. We also partly pull out the extra bed frame (it just slides out as much as you want, up to another single mattress width), and add cushions to create an ottoman or chaise effect. It then slides away when not needed. It's long enough to lie down on as is, and can easily provide extra sleeping space for 2 when the frame is fully extended. This is such a clever design. The only thing I don't like is the powder coating. It has remained pristine so far, but eventually it is bound to get scratched. Plain metal without a coating would have suited me better.5
