Great all rounder desk.ShannonSKÅDIS desk is great and has ample space for a large monitor plus a laptop. The shelf underneath held my printer no problem. I also paired the desk with SKÅDIS peg board and accessories. It works great. 5
amazing desk setupDanaAmazing desk setup, even for just general sitting use, it would be perfect for a gaming PC5
faulty itemEstherOne of the side pieces is faulty, as the top slot is not cut out correctly.
Will update this review, if I can get a solution from IKEA's CS team. I am suprised something like this was not picked up by QC.3
I like the design AnonymousTook a bit to assemble but good quality 5
Plenty of space Anonymous reviewerSpace, laptop at a correct level so not staring down. Hooks to hang my headset and more hooks. 5
Not Bad GrahamWhilst the shelf for the CPU is set a little higher than expected and basically useless there is little else that I could complain about
The unit was easily constructed and ready to use 5

This is the desk I'veDerickThis is the desk I've always wanted. You will want to consider well in advance which way you want to assemble it, height of shelves, speaker shelves in or out, etc. because you do not want to have to take things apart to change the configuration. The placement of the cable nobs seemed impractical to me, so I moved them up and put them in front - cables in neat loops are easily accessible and don't block your monitor view.5
Multipurpose DeskChristineSturdy & solid. Currently using as a desk and not for gaming. Only downside is no drawers and gets very dusty but overall very happy with purchase.5
Great desk, but not as flexible as it may seemJamesThis is an excellent desk, but only if your setup happens to fit well with it. Support for larger or multiple monitors is rather limited due to the lack of space in the display area, and the design of the table hampers the ability to use VESA mounting arms with clamps unless they're attached to the front of the desk.
The two small areas below for mini towers is also limited in size, and would ideally only support a micro-ATX case comfortably - my full size ATX case (NZXT Noctis 450) does not fit underneath, and has to reside on a separate table.
That said, the various features of the desk are simply outstanding. The "ears" are great for speakers or perhaps smart-controlled desk lamps. The plugs behind the monitor are great for holding headphones and cables, and the cable routing and space underneath the monitor make for great spaces for cable management.
If you're looking at getting this desk - be VERY sure of its measurements first. It's a great desk, but only if your gear fits within its limited confines.4
Works well with a 2VickiWorks well with a 2 monitor setup and has good arrangement of shelves for speakers and DVD's etc.. Like the cup holder and headphones holder (cost extra) and keeps everything tidy.5
Love it,StevenI’ve had mine for years now, it’s been through a house move and it’s great, my computer which is a full tower doesn’t fit on the shelves underneath so it’s on the very top, and I have a mini bar fridge on one of the bottom shelves the side shelves I turned inwards and sit speakers on there, even with them turned in my ultra wide monitor fits perfectly between them. It’s extremely sturdy and haven’t had any issues with it, I’m 6ft and can sit comfortably at it on a large computer chair. If I had to point out a few grips it would be the table on the bottom should be slightly longer with the cut out being a little deeper so you could kinda sit into the table that would be better, it could be a little higher too and the bottom shelves would be better if they could accommodate a full tower. But all in all, it’s the best computer desk over ever had, assembly is super easy too if you are comfortable with putting together ikea furniture, I highly recommend it, you won’t be disappointed.5
Good desk - just not fit for gaming.Anonymous reviewerThe Fredde "Gaming" desk unfortunately does not fit a typical gaming PC case. The monitor shelf - while a great idea - prevents the PC from being placed on top of the desk, and there is not enough height allowance to place it on the under-shelves that it seems are intended to hold the PC. This is an enormous design flaw, for something advertised as a "Gaming desk".
It is also overall too low to be truly comfortable - especially with any of the popular/higher end gaming chairs. I also wonder if the height allowance for the monitor would fit much above a 32".
The upper shelves are really strangely affixed - no screws hold them or anything. I do question the stability, and would not place anything heavy/breakable on them.
It's a real shame, as it has such great potential. If each section was raised 5 - 10cm in height, and the upper shelves fitted in a more sturdy/secure way, it would be pretty much perfect for gaming. Now, it's just a well thought out, but poorly executed attempt.2
A Perfect DeskJesseThe desk has plenty of room on the top to fit all of my random items. It was easy to assemble, though I imagine it would have been an easier assembly if done with another person.
The side panels can be slightly difficult to fit in, resulting in a metal shaking sound if the panels are not clicked in properly and the table is knocked or shaken. The side panels are also rather thin, as the parts that join to the desk are easy to bend.5
DeskDeniceIs great and versatile. Very sturdy and easy to build. A bit expensive.5

Versatile and spacious deskLeylaUpgraded to this desk from my old tiny desk for the sake of studying. Plenty of space for all your stuff. I fit my monitor, small tv, laptop, and art tablet on it comfortably with room for my speakers and desk lamp. Perfect desk if you tend to have a lot of random clutter on your desk like me. I keep my PC and ps4 on the shelves underneath though it's a tight squeeze for your bulkier PC cases as the steel support bar above can get in the way. Consoles could also fit under the inner shelf on their sides depending on which level you have it on. Metal side panels are great for keeping stray pages out of the way if you have a few magnets on hand. 100% worth the space it'll take up in your room5
Fits well in the spaceLisaFits well in the space and good flexible design5
