Great day bed!MichaelaPro: This day bed is great because it allows for a lounge type setup as well as being a single bed to queen conversion being both compact (when closed) and spacious when extended.
Con. It's awkward to switch between the single and queen formats (not as easy as it looks on the video). The slats on the main structure hang low & makes the conversion process fussy (I need a broom & use the handle to lift the spine for it to work for me).
Con. It's also difficult to move as the headboard and backrest makes that end of the bed heavier. Not a biggy since it doesn't happen often. It would be good if you could slide these boards on-off & move them from end to end without dismantling the bed. When my godsons visit, the brothers share the room I need to move the day bed to one side for another single bed to fit into the room but that puts the headboard & back in the wrong spot.
Pro. I love the smooth drawers to store the pillows, doonas and sheets when it's operating as a 'lounge'.4
3 slats broken so far...Leandroslats are made of poor quality material and break easily1
6 slats broken after 4 weeksAnastasiaThe slats are not a solid piece but rather two shorter pieces glued together, with the connection around the middle, ie in the weakest part. We have used it as a double bed for guests for 4 weeks and 6 slats are already broken. Seems like a poor design :/ contacting customer service to arrange for return or replacement of slats. Love the design as it works great as a visitor bed in the office but the quality is not great. 1

Wide bed, won't work for tall peopleDmitriiWe bought this as we have to sleep in the kitchen, and sleeping on the sofa was a nightmare. So the idea is great. When it's put wide it is definitely wider than a queen bed. This was the moment when we realised that we need one extra blanket and a duvet cover (hello, unexpected extra expenses). Assembling is quite challenging even for IKEA, I guess this is because of the moving part. However, the biggest issue so far is the bed length: I'm 186 and my legs hang from the edge when I lie on my side (when I sleep on my back, my toes only touch the edge). And because the edge is quite sharp, it is uncomfortable, so I have to put an extra rug on the edge to make it softer. One extra thing to keep in mind is that because of the design, it is slightly harder to change the sheets.3
works well with 2 single mattresses on their permanentlyMelindaWe bought this because we had 2 same single mattresses that my daughter had joined together for her self to have a big bed after her brother was given a queen mattress from family.
The mattresses were on the floor, so we wanted a bed base that could be both used as a 'kingsize bed' and convert back to a single if we didn't want that larger size anymore.
It works very well. The under bed storage is a very nice bonus.5
Our youngest is really happyAnonymous reviewerOur youngest is really happy with her new ‘big’ bed.5
Great bed for teenagersAnthonyWe put one of these into our teenagers bedroom , she had a lift bed . It works really well and she thinks it’s so cool5
BedIldikoThis not only serves as a bed but a sofa for day time. Our grand daughter sleeps on this when she stays over and her dolls and teddy don't fall down the corner, all is well5
Good productNatalieNice design and very comfortable5
Great storage is a bonusAnonymousSo glad we purchased as a spare room bed, super comfy and great as a sofa too. The large drawers are so useful for storage, all round a good buy.5
Great day bedEleanorI bought this a month ago as a bed for the spare room. It has been in use since as both a double and single bed for visitors. It is very easy to use and comfortable in both set ups. Two mattresses does not make it too soft. The drawers are very deep and provide a great space to keep the linen for the bed.5
Simple, easy and functional.AnonymousThis ha provided a great option for a spare bed when needed. We bought the firm matters but they are a little firm considering the lack of use. Only real downside is the huge size of the pull out and that it can be hard to get the right linen.4
AlmaWonderful product My daughter love it5

EvaIt's a great product for everyday use5
Anonymouscomfortable and works well5
works wellAnonymousWorks well for our kids room. A little complex to put together, but if the instructions are followed correctly which is a bit of a marathon it goes together well. Trundle slides out fine with the wheels, and there are a couple of stopper brackets in the design to avoid the complaint from a previous review. Lots of storage. Backing panel is quite sturdy.4
Great idea but poor executionAnonymousI bought this today and am disappointed that the trundle section does not have any kind of mechanism to stop it from being pulled all the way out. This is especially problematic when, once you do pull it all the way out, you have to take both mattresses off and realign all the slats under the main frame again. We bought single mattresses (also from IKEA) that are 92cm wide and yet the trundle frame just pops out if you try to put them side by side. We had to modify the design with some additional parts we had lying around so that the bed would actually stay together. Overall, the day bed is pretty, however the design is poorly executed and needs to be modified to actually work safely.2
