light but not warmGanbadrakhtoo pricey, not warm enough2
Great but not for humid climates!NataliKeeps body warm and cozy in chill Australian winter, but develops awful stench (like a wet dog) because of the moisture. So if you’re not going to use a dehumidifier and keep moisture level below 60%, down duvets are not for you.4
HygieneTanyaThis doona served me well in hot months - until it was time to give it a wash. Unfortunately, unless you have a dryer that you can leave on for 2-3 hours, it is near impossible for it to dry naturally if at all. So much manual labour was invested all day rotating, flipping and trying to fluff out the feathers to let moisture out and avoid the wet animal smell. After all the effort to learn how to dry duck feathers, I still had the same outcome of the distinct smell 9 hours later. No drying info is provided on the label, it just says to wash at a max temp of 60 degrees. Wish I had a heads up, as I would not have purchased.1
Cosy and warm, perfect for cold wintersNezaBeautiful light, cosy and warm quilt. Much cheaper than other well known brands but even better. 5
CosyBiancaA very nice quilt. Fluffs up, is lightweight although very snuggly and delightfully warm.5
Toasty warmMayGood size and warmth, can’t fault it.5
Good!Jie-YuNice.5
The quilts used in IKEA in winter are very worth buying, cheap and good quality.AdaI bought a thicker comforter for winter use, which is 60 percent duck down and 40 percent duck hair, with almost no duck smell. This time I bought this thin quilt, specially to buy a little better, the price is more expensive, the duck down content is as high as 90%, the duck hair content is only 10%, the result is very heavy duck smell, a little disappointed.3
Beautiful HamishGreat cover and warm for Spring5

Warm feather duvet KlaraBeautiful practical present for my granddaughter. It is light & warm. Makes me happy that she already started using it and she loves it. Her cat loves it too 5
Light weight, cosy and warmMarieVery happy with this duvet. Initially it did have a smell of feathers but after a good shake and airing in the sun and breeze on the clothesline and a bit of a spray with Glen-20, the smell has completely gone. This is definitely a winter duvet, have had a couple of mornings of zero degrees, I don’t sleep with heating on but have not been cold. I give it a good shake every morning, this seems to even and plump up the filling. Good price too, compared to others I looked at.5

How to care for your down/feather duvet

With a little care, you can prolong the life of your down/feather duvet and keep it fresh. The filling has a natural smell which can be reduced by airing or washing. Wash the duvet separately with a mild detergent (1/3 of the normal amount) on delicate cycle at 60°C. Avoid bleach/fabric softeners. Tumble dry immediately on low heat. A dryer ball or a high-quality tennis ball in the dryer will ensure more efficient drying. Air your duvet regularly, if possible, in direct sunlight.
