Disappointed in quality.BradAs with other reviewers here I attempted to wash the backrest outer covers of a 3 yr old outdoor setting ( always situated on a covered deck) - but the covers of inner cushion inserts simply disintegrated. Interestingly the seat inner cushion covers are still in good condition, so I believe the issue relates to the quality of the fabric used in these particular cushions and not that the furniture is located outside.Hopefully ikea addresses the issue so that I do not need to renew cushions every 3 years.

Terrible Anonymous reviewerWhen I removed the covers to wash after winter the cushion inserts disintegrated and were unusable. They disintegrated in less than 2-years after having been replaced by another similar product that also disintegrated in less than 2-years. Terrible quality.

Poor quality cover on the fibre filling AmitThe inner lining of the cushion over the fibre filling doesn’t tolerate sun despite being covered by the UV proof outer cover from IKEA protecting it, so much so that it literally turned into dust within one year. We wanted to take out the outer cover for washing but were totally dismayed by the state of the inner cover. The fibre filling inside literally fell apart all over the place as the inside lining was tattered to the extent of powder.
Back cushion insertsMelThe duvholmen back cushion inserts covering fabric has completely deteriorated in 3 years despite being stored inside for winter months. Now when I unzip it has degraded to loose wadding. Seat cushion inserts are fine. Disappointed with the quality.
last really long timeJodieI recently purchased all new covers and inserts for my outdoor setting. they are over 6 years old. turns out zi didn't need any inserts I just put on the new covers. very happy. covers had protected the inserts very well.
Great value outdoor lounge KateWe now have purchased this lounge twice and are so happy with it. Our first lounge is now about 5 years old and looks good as new. So easy to clean too - the cushion covers really do repel water and can be removed from the cushions easily for washing.

Duvholm Inner back cover breaks downJaneSimilar to another's experience, cushions were outside but under cover and the outer covering is breaking down. The seat cushions seen alright and they too were outside. Ikea saying don't leave outside is NOT in the care instructions though, and not very useful for outdoor furniture.
