Lid is terrible KarinaI have two of the original glass storage containers in this size which are fabulous and wanted to buy extras. This containers lid isn't easy to remove and doesn't have the clips to make it leak proof.

Defective lid design on a nice glass baseMeltemThe glass container itself is actually nice, sturdy, and good -quality. However, the lid is absolutely terrible. No matter how many times you press it down, it just pops back up and refuses to stay sealed. It makes the container completely useless for safe food storage. Some people might say "it's only $2, what do you expect?" but being cheap shouldn't mean it's broken or useless. Low price shouldn't justify a defective design.
Sturdy container, but not lid.JoanneBestãmma means “decide” in Swedish, but I am undecided on this design. The glass is about 4mm thick, which makes it very sturdy, but the lid is clumsy to get off and not leak proof. Because it doesn’t seal tightly, if you are not holding it securely by the base, its weight can make it fall out of your hand. I am not sure if the glass has to be so chunky, and it would be more usable with a better lid. I was hoping to buy more of these to replace my plastic containers, but maybe IKEA could decide on a better combination or redesign Bestāmma to make it a more practical and usable option.

So hard to openMelanieSo hard to open the lids, the lids were warped on some of mine (I ordered 2 packs) they weren’t air tight to begin with but having the lids warped makes it even worse trying to help food last longer in the fridge.
