The slot was poorly manufactured and there was nothing in the instructions about the need to cut the slot with a Stanley knife (probably because the instructions didn't anticipate the poor manufacture)

Gaps, Misaligned Doors, and a Damaged PanelGlaizaRecently purchased the BESTÅ drawers from IKEA and was disappointed with the overall quality. The doors do not align properly and can’t be adjusted, and there is a noticeable gap where the two cupboards join together. To make things worse, when I got home I noticed one of the doors had a dent on the edge, so now I need to arrange a replacement. For the price and brand reputation, I expected a much better finish.

Perfect ChristinaWe have wall mounted this cabinet and it makes it look custom-made. We have received so many positive feedback and a couple of our family members have gone and purchased the same exact one.
Quality is shocking NominWe've designed a whole wall unit with it and purchased it. Upon assembling, i am shocked by the quality of the materials, the back board comes folded in half! It's not a book! And the overall cabinet quality is considerably poor, very soft, it dents when you accidentally brushes your nail, what a joke. Unhappy after spending over 1.2k
