Aussies can save hundreds as IKEA invest millions of dollars to cut prices on mattresses, sofas, wardrobes and everyday essentials

Australians looking to refresh their homes could save hundreds of dollars as IKEA announces major price cuts across hundreds of products, including mattresses, sofas, wardrobes, dining furniture and everyday household essentials.
The affordability push is part of a $26 million investment by IKEA Australia to help customers stretch their budgets further, with the first wave delivering lower prices on 144 products across the range.
For shoppers, the potential savings on offer are significant. A queen mattress is now $200 cheaper, a popular three-seat sofa is down by $150 and everyday products including hangers, baskets and kitchen essentials have also been reduced.
With interest rates rising and households continuing to keep a close eye on spending, IKEA says it wants Australians to be able to create a comfortable, functional home without paying more than they need to.
"Australians continue to look for ways to make their money go further, and that includes when they're furnishing their homes," said IKEA Australia Country Growth and Marketing Manager Artsiom Tsalko.
"We know our customers are being more thoughtful with their spending, so we're investing heavily to make some of our most loved products more affordable.
"Whether you're moving house, setting up a nursery, upgrading your mattress or creating a better work-from-home space, we want great design and quality to remain accessible."

Is IKEA lowering its prices for a limited time only?
Unlike limited-time discounts, IKEA says these new lower prices are everyday lower prices, designed to make home furnishings more affordable for the many people.
"We believe everyone deserves a home they love, regardless of budget," said Tsalko.
"Our focus is on lowering prices where it matters most and helping Australians create better everyday living at home."
