Here is a step-by-step guide on how to decorate a coffee table
- Start using a tray to create a defined space on the coffee table. This helps to organise the items on the table and makes tidying up easy.
- Think about the items you and your family use the most in this space. These may include remote controls or gaming accessories. Place these items in a small box to hide them away and keep the table looking neat.
- Add elements that create a sense of height to the table, such as a vase with flowers, candles, or other decorative items. Flowers not only add visual interest but also help to freshen up the space. Candles can also set the mood for a movie night.
- Next, add personal touches to the table. These can be small items you've picked up on your travels or items you love and want to display. Group these items for a cohesive feel.
- Move the tray slightly off-centre to create more usable space on the table for everyday activities, such as afternoon tea or magazines.
- Remember to keep lit candles away from other items on the table to avoid hazards.
- With these tips in mind, it will be easy to change the style of your coffee table depending on your preferences or the occasion. Experiment with different combinations of items, such as swapping out the flowers for a different type of plant or changing the colour scheme of the candles. You can also change the layout of the items on the tray or add new items to the table to give it a fresh look.
- Another option to add more style to the table is to play with textures and shapes, for example, a round tray with a rectangular vase, or a wooden box with a metal candle holder.
Lastly, don't be afraid to change and try new things. Have fun with it! Remember that the coffee table is a reflection of your style. And that's it! With these tips, you'll be able to style your coffee table in a functional and beautiful way.
