3 ways to re-organise your living room
Whether it’s toys all over the floor, high congestion on the sofa, or a TV you have to squint to see, sometimes our living rooms are anything but restful. Come see how we solved these everyday problems for a Wantirna family.
Inspiration starts here

Meet Tin, Marilyn and Eli. Like lots of us, their living room is the one of the busiest parts of their home, and over time it’s built up its share of frustrations. The space in the middle of the room is not really being used, the television is quite far away and the light in the background means it is hard to see.
Working with the sofa first, we split the room into two zones creating a relax zone with the VIMLE sofa at a comfortable distance from the television. Linen curtains solve the glare dilemma while still letting in lots of light, while the huge storage space inside the VIMLE foot stool means there’s ample storage room.
By dividing the room in two, the area can now be used as a second relax space to help out Tin’s dream of a little downtime. A super comfy chair with a footrest, good lighting and a side table for reading material and snacks make sure the comfort is maximised.
The BESTÅ storage system along one side of the living room wall solves the toy storage dilemma, and provides loads of extra organisable closed storage.

“The way IKEA has laid out the room has allowed us to be connected in more ways than one. That’s just great!”
