Our removal and recycling service make it easier for you to live sustainably. We can swap your old mattress and dispose of it in a sustainable, environmentally friendly way at minimal cost to you.
How the service works
You can choose to your have old mattress collected and recycled when you order a new mattress from IKEA. We offer two options for mattress removal specified below.
When you shop at your local IKEA store:

Purchase in-store or with our remote selling team, buy a mattress and organise the delivery and mattress removal service at the same time.

Prepare your old mattress to be taken away in the bag provided to you in-store. For mattress removal purchased with our remote selling team, the delivery driver will supply the bag for you to place your old mattress into
When you shop online:

Buy your new mattress online and organise a mattress removal service directly with our trusted partner.

Please note that removal of your old mattress and delivery of your new mattress are carried out by different service providers.
The mattress removal service is available in NSW, ACT, VIC, WA and SA. It is not currently available in QLD. Please contact your local IKEA store or call us for information.
