IKEA is recalling certain VARMFRONT power banks due to fire hazard

IKEA urges all customers who own a VARMFRONT power bank 10 400 mAh (model number E2038) with date stamp (YYWW) 2313, 2316, 2318 or 2319, to immediately stop using it and contact IKEA for a replacement product, or a full refund.

Reasons the product is recalled

Affected VARMFRONT power banks can overheat and melt during use because of a manufacturing fault.

The hazards to consumers

There is a risk of serious injury from burns and/or property damage from fire if the power bank overheats during use.

What consumers should do

Consumers should stop using affected power banks immediately.

Return them to an IKEA store for a replacement product or a full refund.
