How do I fix or replace a leaking tap?
If you have a leaky tap, we can replace it for you if it is still under warranty and you are the original purchaser of the tap. If eligible, we can cover your installation and uninstallation costs.
At IKEA our warranty process for taps is a little different to other products to avoid customers being without water for any long periods of time.
The first step would be to purchase a replacement tap – you can pick either the same or a different model. This does not need be an IKEA tap.
Once you have your replacement, you can organise for a plumber to change the taps over at the same time. If you provide us with the paid, itemised tax invoice with an ABN from this plumber, we will reimburse you for reasonable plumbing costs.
Once this has been changed over by the plumber, you can return the tap at a time of your convenience to your local IKEA with the original proof of purchase to obtain a refund for the faulty item.
Contact us if you would like to arrange this remotely.
