Can I return my item without a receipt?

Not quite what you expected? No worries! You have 365 days to return your purchase for a full refund, provided it’s in unused and resalable condition.

Your satisfaction with your IKEA purchase is our priority.  

If you’re not completely happy or simply change your mind, you can return your products within 365 days. We’ll provide a full refund for items returned with proof of purchase during this period.  

Please note that you can only return IKEA products that you have bought here in Australia to our IKEA Australian stores.

The original receipt of proof of purchase is required for returns. 

If you made your purchase in store and no longer have your receipt, and it was not logged under your IKEA Family account, we can look up your store receipt with a few details: 

  • Date of purchase 

  • Store of purchase 

  • Exact amount of transaction 

  • Last 4 digits of the card used* 

*Card payments via a digital wallet may have different last four digits to the physical card.
