Do I need to be home for my delivery?
Whether you need to be home depends on the type of delivery you are waiting for.
If you have booked a To The Door delivery, Authority to Leave will be automatically applied to your delivery. In the event that you are not able to accept the delivery on the day, the delivery driver will leave your delivery in a safe and secure location. If they are unable to find a safe and sure location, your order will be failed and returned back to IKEA.
If you have booked a In The Home delivery, you will need to be home to accept the delivery and instruct the driver on which one room of your choice that you'd like the delivery to be left in. Authority to Leave is available for this delivery service. The delivery driver will leave your delivery outside of your property in a safe and secure location. If they are unable to find a safe and secure location, your order will be failed and returned back to IKEA.
Unsuccessful deliveries are subject to a re-delivery charge.
For smaller deliveries less than 15kg, if you are not home, our parcel service provider Toll will leave the order at your property in a safe place. If there is no safe place and you are not home, the goods return to a local depot. Re-delivery will automatically be attempted or goods may re-direct to a drop-off point after a number of failed attempts.
After dispatch, you can track your order using your 9-digit order number at MyTeamGE.
