Loved it before it brokeIoanaI loved using this storage jars for my homemade yoghurt. Everything was working fine for about 6 months and then one night, while mixing my yoghurt I got a hole in it. See picture. Good thing it didn’t cut me since I had my hand on the jar. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.2

Caution when using for dry pantry goodsAnonymous reviewerThese seal well, are easy to clean, and look nice in the pantry. However! There is a pretty deep crevice around the inside of the glass lid that hold onto moisture after washing for quite a while after the rest of the jar is dry. If you use it for dry storage, make extra sure that this crevice is dry before storing food so that you don’t create habitat for bacteria or mould! I only discovered this after putting cornmeal in one I had washed a couple of days ago and noticing that the cornmeal was sticking in the crevice. 3
Smelly rubber ringJoanneI bought these for food, and now I'm not sure about using them. The rubber seals smell bad, and in the tiny print on the paper it says that they contain something called 2-mercaptobenzothiazole. It says to find more information on the Ikea website, but I can't find it. I have looked that chemical up online and it doesn't look like it should be touching food. 2
