Manufacturing DefectSophieThere is a long black mark on the table that appears to be underneath the paint and was not properly covered. Because the table is white, the mark is very obvious. It looks like a manufacturing defect and really affects the appearance. I expected better quality from IKEA.1

Great value, long-lastingLindsayI've had, and used, a white Lack table for at least 15 years now. It's held up very well, and I like it enough that it's come with me through several moves. The laminate isn't peeling and while I wouldn't put significant weight on it, it's held up well to typical sidetable usage the whole time. Given that I bought mine so long ago, I can't be certain that the new ones are as sturdy, but if they last even half that long, they're still great. They're light to carry, easy to clean, and I've assembled and disassembled them several times without issue (or instructions). The joints still feel good and haven't loosened or come out of alignment. I also had two black-brown ones, but I gave them away a few years ago, so I can't be certain how they look now — they were doing just as well when I had them, though!5
Easy to assemble. Excellent table Nickthe headline says it all. Compact package, so compact that you're surprised that it contains parts to a table. Combined with some elbow grease to insert the table legs (anyone can do this to be honest) = excellent table 5
