The wood fibre/plastic composite material gives the chair a textured, matte surface that is soft and inviting to the touch.
Viewed from afar, the wood fibres blend into the surface, up close they become an interesting design feature that catches the eye.

They break... KimWe've had a set of 6 chairs for a few years now, maybe 3 or 4 years. In that time, we've had one completely collapse on us, and another seat just broke off, both times while someone, under 200lbs, was sitting on them. While these chairs have a great look, for the price, I'd like my chairs to not break, and maybe last at least 5 years.

They are pricey (like everything nowadays) and they have changed very slightly under the seat pan to my originals- they have more visible plastic which isn’t as attractive as my older ones.
