Could've been a 5..AnirudhMine had a small scratch on the top.. Apart from that, putting this together was not easy as the side table... this requires the user to make holes and then screw the parts in.. how about drilling beforehand instead of handing the customer a scale to do it!
First questionable Ikea purchaseBrianThe coffee table looks great. As noted previously the lack of predrilled holes on the legs makes assembly challenging. Hand screwing the anchors is very difficult to get the screws started. As well, this is the first time I'd question the quality of an Ikea product. Looking at the legs makes me wonder how well they will staffed up. Getting the legs screwed on also was not fun as it was hard to know how tight they should be screwed on to the attaching bolts before damage would occur. So overall, my first questionable Ikea purchase. And we've made many over the years.
Perfect coffee tableKarenI bought this table 15 years ago when it was $25. I am about to replace it after many years of wear and tear. The increase in cost to $40 is worth it to me. I love this coffee table :)

Great table BUTPatriciaThe is an amazing table and so reasonably priced, but it was nearly impossible to assemble because there was no premade hole for the shelves screws to go into and no tool provided to puncture the table in a way that would not split it.

Nice table, poor quality controlAlexandraThe table is great but as I was assembling it, I noticed there are holes missing in the legs attach the lower 'shelf' piece. It's also massive so it's not exactly easy to exchange for a new one. I hope customer service can send me new legs or I'll have to drill holes myself which isn't ideal.

Quality and Finish IssuesMichaelThe Lack coffee table is constructed with chipboard legs and a top layer glued over a honeycomb filling. On this unit, the glued layer was uneven, leaving a visible white line along the upper edge. The table also had other imperfections that were not visible in its packaging. Also, once assembled, it did not sit level. These issues affect both the appearance and stability of the table relative to its price point, requiring return.
