Missing instructions and screwsKatrinaBought the item in store. When I was assembling it, it only came with the frame. All the bolts, screws, instructions and other parts to build this furniture is missing. On top of it, their website told me to write every single spare product number on the search page, in which I had to search for 11 of those parts, which sadly, doesn’t even show up on the search bar. So complicated.
HorribleNoelleThis is absolutely horrible. I had to go out and buy corner braces for the back to make it a little less wonky. I would not have bought it had I known it would be so unstable and wobbly.
I normally love ikea products but not this time.

Wobbly!AnonymousWe bought 2 pieces of the Besta collection for our coffee bar. The bottom piece is stable but this piece, what a nightmare. The side pieces don’t screw in properly. I thought it was just an off package, so returned it and put together the second, same issue. I tried every way to make it work, but when assembling the top, the same hole on the opposite side has the same issue. I have many ikea products in my home that have been put together with no issues, but this, avoid if you like your sanity.
Not as stable as the older versionLisaWe still like the Besta line but they’re not as stable as the older units we have from 12 years ago. After assembling this one, the cabinet shifted every time we moved it (i.e., the corners do not stay square). We had to buy some corner braces from the local hardware store and install these in the corners at the back to make the cabinet stable. The only other option would have been to secure the cabinet to the wall, which we did not want to do. We don’t have children who would climb on the unit so tipping is not a problem for us. The older Besta units were designed to be free-standing and could be placed in the middle of a room. The new Besta units are too unstable for this, without reinforcements. We gave it 4 stars but only because we couldn’t give 3.5 stars.
Looks and works great but is unstableTracyThe frame has a wobble from side to side simply due to the height and any square (60x60cm) doors are too heavy and lean down on the non-hinge side. A fix to the frame wobble is to buy some 3/4 inch nails and hammer them into the back panel diagonally into the sides and top & bottom. This makes the frame significantly more stable. The doors can be corrected using the fine tuning on the hinge by adjusting the side-to-side screw on just the bottom hinge to push away from the hinge side. Overall it looks nice and works great but if you don't decide to wall mount it, you will have to do as described above or something similar. Hope this helps anyone and consider this before buying.

Garbage product BarrettDo yourself a big favor and believe the negative reviews on this product. By far, the most frustrating Ikea product I've ever purchased. The frame is flimsy and poorly manufactured, making it impossible to align the doors. I regret this purchase. Stay away from the Besta line -it's junk.
Good product but short on assembly screwsSounakTheres a shortage of cam lock [123492], [119030], [130449] and washer in my package. Ordered it through a third party website and now they dont fit. Checked ikea website and they are not available as spare parts.

A good solid product!RichardVery pleased. It went together very easy. When I was done it felt very solid. And we liked the no handle feature and the door closing fittings. We had never used these features. I did take extra time when I was putting it together to make sure it was square and level.

Terrible quality and very unstable.CesarI put this together and it was loose and shifted despite tightening the fasteners. When I attached the front doors, it made it worse. I had go to the hardware store and purchase right angle brackets and fasten them inside the top and bottom of the cabinet to keep it from falling apart. I would have returned it if it wasn't such a hassle to take apart. Looks good from afar, but far from good quality in this case.
Same old same oldMichaelThe door installation and alignment is the most time-consuming and disappointing portion of any IKEA build using hinged doors. The frame is perfectly square across two planes but the hinges never really align the doors properly.

Easy to assemble, buy the additional shelf for added rigidity. Good size, will quite happily take a smaller microwave easily. Stacking is very easy and secure and the multi adjustable feet make alterations easy.

Material
What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
