Product details

It’s easy to keep cords and cables out of sight but close at hand with the cable outlet at the back.

You can mount the legs to the right or left, according to your space or preference.

Drawer stops prevent the drawers from being pulled out too far.

Can be placed anywhere in the room because the back is finished.

You can extend your work surface by combining desks and drawer units. All desks and drawer units in the MICKE series are the same height.

Care

Wipe clean using a damp cloth and a mild cleaner.

Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

Safety and compliance

Maximum evenly distributed weight is 50 kg. Do not place concentrated weight exceeding 15 kg on a small surface on the desk.This desk has been tested for domestic use and meets the requirements for durability and stability set forth in the following standards: EN 12521 and EN 1730.

Dark brown surfaces has various white scratch marks from manufacturer packing.JamieNew out of the box, some of the pieces have some white scratch marks on its dark brown surfaces. Looks like scratched when pieces packed into box. Scratch marks stand out when desk is in daylight. Its appearance was big part of my purchase consideration. So, bought at regular price now feels high priced. Special trip back to Ikea for exchange would be quite hassel and inconvenience. Not sure worth the trouble.3

Awareness!MaryamWhile assembling the drawer (page 7, step 6), I hammered in the larger screws (100086) instead of the correct ones. I later realized they didn’t fit properly, which made them very difficult to remove. Despite this assembly mistake, I’m very happy with the product overall it’s sturdy, stylish, and fits perfectly in my space.5

Damaged(DarynaI recently purchased this table from IKEA. Overall, I’m satisfied with the product, but unfortunately, one of the corners was slightly damaged — it appears to be either a manufacturing defect or damage that occurred during transport. It’s disappointing, as I expected flawless quality. I’d like to ask if it’s possible to receive compensation or a replacement part. I have photos of the defect and can provide more details if needed. Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.

"My idea with the MICKE series was to simplify everything we do with our computers and mobile phones in today's high-tech world. Like keeping in touch with friends, downloading films and music, working or printing out tickets. The goal was to create a real dream product with maximum functions in a minimum space. One smart thing is the built-in cable management, so you can hide away all the cables. Another is that all the parts have the same depth and height so everyone can create their own favorite combination."
