Three stationary glass shelves included.

Tempered glass is 4-5 times stronger and more resistant to breaking than regular glass. If it breaks, it shatters into many granular pieces to reduce the risk of injury.

Safety and compliance

Handle with care! A damaged edge or scratched surface can cause the glass to suddenly crack or break. Avoid bumps from the side - this is where the glass is most vulnerable.Must be anchored to the wall. Different wall materials require different types of fixing devices. Use fixing devices suitable for the walls in your home, sold separately.

Great Display ShelfAnonymousJust received a delivery including this shelf. It is an attractive piece of furniture. I purchased it to display some models and it looks and works great. The only issue: the black/brown non-glass shelves that go on the top and bottom did NOT come with pre-drilled holes. This made the assembly take twice as long since I had to make my own holes. I would recommend that IKEA consider having these shelves come with pre-drilled holes.4
Good style, bad qualityAnonymous reviewerI have had this shelf for less than 6 months, even DIYed it into a good structure. When installing the glass, we took great care. Last night when we were all sleeping, an entire shelf shattered on its own. There was very little weight on the shelf itself, and the shelf is isolated enough to confirm no contact was made. Very disappointing as I now have a bookshelf with and entire shelf missing. Also very scary that this could shatter at any moment for absolutely no reason.2

Clean looking and easy to assembleAnonymousI really like the VITTSJÖ collection - all the items have the same basic metal and tempered glass look, but it's very clean, modern and sleek, and goes well with almost anything. This shelf is no exception. For a shelf this size, it's incredibly quick and easy to assemble. It looks great in my living room. Just keep in mind that it's not the heaviest shelf in the world, so you may want to secure it, or place heavier items on the bottom. Unfortunately, my specific one arrived damaged, but I'm 95% sure it's due to some rough handling by the delivery drivers, so I'm not blaming Ikea for that. Additionally, the customer service I got over social media was incredibly quick, easy and helpful. Waiting on a replacement part, but I was able to assemble most of it, and I have zero complaints even in its unfinished state.4

I chose materials that really bring out books, vases and other favorite things. The straight, simple lines of the metal give the furniture a graphic expression and put an attractive frame around all your personal things. And the glass creates a light, airy feeling. I'm very happy with the results - the furniture looks great no matter what style you have in your room. And it comes at a great price, too!"
