IKEA Canada Announces IKEA Halifax will open on Wednesday, September 27th
[National]  IKEA Halifax will welcome its first customers following grand opening celebrations
Burlington, ON – Today, IKEA Canada announces that it will open the much anticipated IKEA Halifax store on Wednesday, September 27th, 2017. Grand opening celebrations will begin at 8:20 am on September 27th and the store will welcome its first customers through the doors at 9:00 am.

“We’re so excited to welcome our first customers to our brand new IKEA Halifax store,” said IKEA Halifax Store Manager Sue Coulet. “We invite local and surrounding area residents to join in the excitement and experience the store for themselves. Opening celebrations will feature fun family entertainment and great giveaways.”

More information about grand opening plans, including customer offers and promotions will be available soon. IKEA Halifax regular store hours will be weekdays from 10 am to 9 pm, from 9:30 am to 9 pm on Saturdays and from 10 am to 6 pm on Sundays.

The 330,000 square foot store will include a huge Showroom and Market hall, filled with inspiration, ideas and beautiful home furnishing products. IKEA Halifax will also have a full Restaurant, a SMALAND children’s play facility. It will also offer customers a complete range of convenient services such as home delivery, assembly, planning and returns.

IKEA Halifax is the first new store to open as part of IKEA Canada’s ambitious plan to double the number of stores by 2025 and expand from coast to coast. The retailer also launched 14 Collection Points since August 2016, nine of which are located in Atlantic Canada. IKEA Canada also has plans to open a new store in Quebec City in late summer 2018.
