Thank you IKEA!JoanaFinally I found a decent bed at Ikea with great quality construction and design. Well made and well priced. Keep up the good work Ikea! 5
SqueakyLolaI loved this bed for the first six months I had it, but then it began to squeak terribly. I tightened every screw and that worked for a few days but now it’s squeaking again. I would not recommend purchasing this bed for the long term or for daily use.1
NICE AND MODERNYuriLove this bed, firs very nice and looks amazing!5
Cheap velvet AnonymousI regret buying this bed.
The velvet finish is really cheap. It stains easily if you ever oil your hair and accidentally rest on it. I did it once and it's stained forever now.
Because of the dark color - all lint and pet hair shine bright on it. The cheap velvet only adds to an overall shabby look.
The slats that came with the bed were very not a good fit either and we had to swap it out with old Malm slats we had.
It doesn't look anywhere near as good as in the pictures, and I don't think the cheap velvet is worth the cost.
I would highly recommend checking this product in the showroom before you order it. I think if I'd seen it in person, I wouldn't have bought it. 1
Looks greatAriaSimple yet sophisticated looking bed5
Beautiful bedMagdalenaThis bed looks great and is very comfy. I’ve had it for couple of months now and I completely love it! It was also easy to put it together. 5
Durable bed frame with nice touch of headboard fabricMinIt took me also 1.5 hours approx. to put the bed together and I watched youtube assembly instructions and it was easy to follow. The parts were not missing and IKEA did a great job of making such a nice bed frame for people like me. My mattress was 14" thick so I had to install the base buttress of my bed at the very most bottom, making it more spacious for me to lean on the headboard. SO much better than having my mattress on the floor :) Highly recommend if you're looking for a bed frame with headboard. Double recommend if you see 15% discount. I was able to secure that on Sep 10, 2024 5
Beautiful Bed, Sturdy, Easy to put togetherAnonymous reviewerLove this purchase. I got the grey one. It's just like the photos as they didn't have one on display - but ask for a swatch if you need to decide. I didn't buy the slats nor mattress. what I love is how affordable this bed is, and how sophisticated it can look. 5
FURTHERMORE....AmyASSEMBLY - It was easy to put together - 1.5 hours or less with two people. No missing parts, just extra parts. Easy to follow direction, but I am very good with picture instructions in general.
We use a box springs & a mattress, so we didn't need the wood slats. Glad they weren't included because it would have been a waste. We like having a higher bed than a mattress sitting on slats.
SOLID. We can lean against the headboard (it's not up against the wall) and it doesn't move. Nothing moves. Make sure to not screw everything in tight until it's all together and then go back and tighten it all.
COZY. The fabric is soft to the touch - velvety soft. It's a bit more substantial and durable than velvet.
I think this is the best bed I have seen at IKEA in 24 years (I have the catalogs to prove it!).5
Sturdy Bed frame with Elevated Looking HeadboardAmyI've never owned a "real" bed frame as an adult. I have stayed with friends, family, and in VRBOs with "real" beds - often very expensive. My favorite had a padded headboard that felt so luxurious. It was also $4000. I went home and turned an old wood headboard into a padded headboard with a little DIY. Visually it looked great, but the thing never attached right to the bed rails and would end up leaning over in either direction. It worked well enough for 14 years, I guess. I could never really justify buying a "pretty" bed frame when ours did the same job (aside from an unstable headboard). One sunny summer day, I got an email from IKEA. "BEDFRAME SALE" My bff had purchased a bed from IKEA about 2 years prior and still raves about it. My hesitation about IKEA having too "cheap" quality furniture went out the window when I saw the TUFJORD. It was exactly what I wanted: an affordable wrap-around padded bed frame! And ON SALE. It was a sign. It's been 6 months. It's WORTH EVERY PENNY!5
Time will tellAnastasiaIt took 1.5 hours to put the bed together, but nothing was complicated. There were no missing details or damaged parts. I liked the design and the customizable height of the supporting metal structure. The base “ribs” are not included, so keep this in mind when purchasing and assembling the bed. I took one star off because the front side of the frame is slightly bent inward after I screwed the four boards together, which might contribute to future breaks4
