If you oil, wax, lacquer or stain the untreated solid wood surface it will be more durable and easy to care for.

The hard-wearing solid pine has natural variations in grain, color and texture, giving every piece a unique look.

There’s plenty of space under the bed for storage boxes - perfect for storing extra duvets and pillows.

You can easily vacuum under the bed frame to keep the space clean and dust-free.

LURÖY slatted bed base with curved slats helps to absorb your body weight and supports your body, while the open construction allows air to circulate and keeps the mattress fresh.

  • SKORVA midbeam is included in the price but packaged separately. It is required for the stability of the bed frame and to keep the mattress in place.

Reviews

Easy to put together. FitsGayleneEasy to put together. Fits the space perfectly… happy with purchase5
Tarva bed w/ Lonset Slatted base. Hard to assemble but worth itPatriciaThank God for Youtube, this is what made assembly possible, along with buying the Allen wrench type drill bits and correct size philips head drill bits for power screwdriver. I started off using manual tools and way to hard on the hands and fingers. Must have proper power tools, then it will go much faster and easier. Also the right and left side panels of bed I originally installed upside down, these pieces not marked in any way, must pay close attention to correct direction, or the mattress ends up sitting too high. Then, once assembled, I stained the frame walnut. It would have been better to stain the pieces prior to assembly. More detailed instructions from Ikea would have been really helpful. The Lonset slats were also time consuming, the Youtube video again was super helpful and worth it to get these upgraded slats. Although it was difficult and time consuming, in the end very happy with the bed, very sturdy, comfortable and looks great.4
Squeaking SoundFernandoI move a lot before sleep. After months of use the bed started to make squeaking sounds maybe due to loose screws. At the begging adjusting the screws made the sound go away. But know even after adjusting the screws the sounds continues. It has been affecting my sleep for months. Assembling was also a pain. Too many screws.1
Pieces missingJennAccording to the parts list and my count, the kit for the full size frame comes with 43 of the wood dowels for joining the pieces. However, by my count of empty holes this is five dowels short of what is required to put the frame together per the instructions. I'm very disappointed to have to make a trip to the hardware store for this. Other than this I'm sure that the frame will function well.4
Not the greatest, but not the worstLiliI've had this bed for almost a year now and it's just okay. If I could go back, I wouldn't purchase it again. It's not very sturdy and I'm constantly having to readjust the slats. Also, it just seems a little too big for my mattress (even though they are the same size) so I'm constantly having to readjust the mattress as it slides away from the headboard. I also have to tighten the screws fairly often. I did pay $200 for the frame, so I'm going to keep it purely because that is a lot of money. It's not bad enough that I feel like I need to immediately spend hundreds of dollars on a new one, but I also don't think it is worth that amount of money. It was also extremely difficult to assemble.2
shifty slatsMitchellThe frame isn't sturdy, I believe instead of having separate slats, it should be a singular foldable slat. Also, the slat should be able to attach itself to the bedframe, once you move, they move and can cause a break in the side panels of the bedframe.1
I think is a veryLuisI think is a very good product and it’s affordable.5
Would give 0 stars if possibleChloeDo NOT buy this bed. How it made it beyond the testing phase is beyond me. the "support" on this bed frame constantly falls down, leaving you crashing down to the floor in the middle of the night. the wooden slats are a disaster. Wouldnt gives this bed to my worst enemy. If only this was a fraction as good as the veggie balls...1
Tarva ReviewJI love the simple design of the bed frame, and the easy assembly made the purchase worthwhile. All the joints fit together snuggly, and it seems sturdy.5
Tarva BedDonnaBed is very nice looking and was easy to put together. Only problem is foot rail where legs attach. The tops of these legs are a source of injured knees. I try and keep a folded blanket across bottom of bed.4
Very simple and easy toLeahVery simple and easy to assemble and I am very happy with this purchase and the price is great.5
Very attractive! hard to assembleEllenI really love the look of this frame -- it is a a lovely piece of furniture. One star off for the difficulty of assembly and poor instructions, particularly for the long metal rods under the slats -- what are they even for? they certainly didn't stay in place.4
Exactly what I needed!KRISTYI have a 600sq ft studio, I need an open frame, light weight and easy to assemble. IKEA is ALWAYS the go to store! The frame clearance is great for storage. And when I move I can take my time and stain it!!5
I love the natural look.LeticiaI love the natural look. It takes 2 people to assemble the bed. I love my bed frame.5
I've had this frame for 5 years!GratiasI originally bought this bed frame in late 2018. It is 2023 and 5 years later and this frame is still alive and kicking. It's survived 2 disassembly's and assemblies from 2 moves and is still holding up. I've had to order spare parts due to my own negligence on part of the assembly, but other than that, this product is still serving me well. I plan to get the same bed frame when I upgrade my mattress. Would recommend 10/10! Just follow the instructions and ensure you tighten all the parts correctly and you will be fine!5
Easy to assemble and looksSusanEasy to assemble and looks great!5
Do not buy!CarolinaWe bought this bed frame and it broke within the first few months. We called to get replacement parts, but we didn’t know we needed to keep the recipes. They tried to look it up with our card number, but we had changed our card number. There was nothing that could have been done. We tried fixing it ourselves, and it only lasted a another 9 months. Now we have a bed frame that keeps breaking in different parts. It’s so fragile, I wouldn’t recommend.1
FirewoodKimWe love the simplicity however it sags in the middle. You can see in the picture that the support boards are beveled which leads to the middle sagging. Not sure who the brains behind that one was but we now have 300$ firewood and kinked necks.2
GreatSusanBed is great, albeit low but love the unfinished wood4
Great buy!CuthbertNice simple design that looks great in my sons’ room!5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is solid wood?

Solid wood is one of our favorite materials and is part of our Scandinavian heritage. It is also a timeless material with many uses. Regardless of the tree species, it is durable, beautiful and renewable. We strive to use this raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste – and we also invest in facilities and logistics so that we can increase the use of recycled wood.
