Do not buy this frame!BeatriceThe frame completely snapped in half after 5 months of use - not the joints or the connection points…the WOOD itself snapped in half! Apparently they use ‘pressed wood’ and glue smaller pieces together to make larger pieces. This product does not come with a warranty so you will not get your money back. Save yourself the trouble and money and look elsewhere.
Broke right awayRosalbaI've had this bed for only a few weeks and the middle beam broke off the bed frame. Nothing rough was done to the bed that warranted it breaking. Just normal use and it broke. Not safe at all, no quality.
Worst piece of garbage I have ever purchased - No refund in sightIanThis piece of actual trash broke after a few months of use - turns out that is what it does (see other reviews) it broke at the foundation because it's particle wood - it could not be more obviously a design flaw. And IKEA said nope we won't refund you. Don't buy this. Learn from our mistake. I have words for IKEA that I cannot include in this review.

The worst bed frame I’ve ever had MarlyThe slacks are either too small or the quality of the need is just poor. We are constantly having to adjust the bed and redo the slacks that fall anytime we aren’t cautiously trying to get in bed. I mean I understand for this price this is what I get, however it’s ridiculous how many times a day we are fixing this bed. Cannot wait to find a new one
Zero stars, if I couldAnnaThe Tarva has a KNOWN design problem (frame cracks and separates in two areas - one on headboard and one on footboard) and IKEA’s only “fix” for problem is for customer to come to nearest store and BUY replacement parts. We’ve had our Tarva for about 9 months (the footboard cracked around month 5, and there were no parts available for us to purchase to fix it, so my husband bought wood from hardware store to fix it) and then the headboard broke today (at roughly the 9th month of us owning it). I am so angry that we wasted money on this GARBAGE, and that this structural issue is a known problem (go check out other reviews and you’ll see) and IKEA does nothing about it. Zero fix, zero help. Will never shop here again.
Newly Wed MemoirJenniferIf you’re looking for a team‑building exercise disguised as furniture, this IKEA bed is the Olympic event you didn’t know your relationship needed. Nothing bonds a couple quite like passionately debating which screw A‑17‑ish goes into hole B‑maybe‑that‑one. Instructions included, patience absolutely not.
This bed was advertised as “simple to build,” which is adorable. We spent a solid 40 minutes squinting at screws that looked identical but apparently had deeply different destinies. Still, after some light bickering, a few strategic sighs, and one “let’s just try it and see,” we emerged victorious. Naturally, we had to test‑drive the bedframe—for quality control, of course. We threw our king‑size foam mattress on top & climbed in. To our surprise, the bed was rock‑solid. Even pressed against the wall, it didn’t thump, bump, or announce our every move to the neighbors. And despite our enthusiastic “stress testing,” not a single screw surrendered.
Comfortable Queen BedSusanWe needed a new bed frame, looked for solid wood and a low profile. This was a perfect choice. We went with the white, it provides the right height for us as well as the headboard is low profile, but does the job. Very happy.
Frame broke and they won’t replace partsNatePoorly manufactured. The base of the headboard is a 1”x6” board that was made out of two 1”x3” boards glued together. They then drilled 4 screw and bolt holes straight through the factory glued seam of the boards. My board split along the factory glued seam and broke while I was laying in my bed. Chat support said to take piece to an IKEA to get a replacement but it has been more than 6months since the frame was purchased so they would not replace it. They should give replacement parts for structural parts that break due to poor manufacturing regardless of how Long ago the purchase was especially because it was their poor design of not using a solid 1”x6” boards glued together but putting structural ones along a glued seam line
Breaks after use BrandonI buy almost all my furniture from IKEA and most of it is great but this is a TOTAL DISASTER AND DANGEROUS. It breaks after a month of use and you can put it back together but it keeps breaking. I eventually after a couple months just threw it away and bought something else because it was getting dangerous and annoying with it breaking every couple nights.

black mold on delievered furnitureJinghanthis bed was delievered to me with MOLD on it!!!!! I contact Ikea and Ikea can only replace it in 4 days. Meanwhile, they asked me to keep the mold furniture in my room. Also, they told me I cannot clean the mold furniture!!! So I have to be with health risky furniture in my home with 4 days!!! Meanwhile, I do not have a place to sleep!! worst experience ever and ever!!!!

Guest room bedBarbaraWe needed a regular bed for our guest room, opted for a full as we don't have company very often. This bed wasn't too difficult to put together. It seems very sturdy. We purchased a full mattress from another company & it did not fit within the frame. We found a solution. We would recommend purchasing the mattress from IKEA to be certain it will fit.

Love ittttttttEsmeraldaIt’s really sturdy more than I expected for the price. putting it together was easy I got confused half way through some parts / holes look alike but are different sizes so if it doesn’t fit just make sure you are looking at the right side of the parts don’t try and make it fit if it doesn’t. I did have some left over screws but bed frame is up and running ❤️❤️
