Wrong sizePatriciaThe size on this duvet insert is a little smaller than a standard size king so it does not properly fit a king duvet cover. Also there are no loops to connect ties.

stjaernbraecka duvet insert - filling clumping after only 1 washAnonymous reviewerStjaernbraecka duvet insert: The weight is as described (perfect for in between season), and I would not expect corner ties as this price point (+ that's easy enough to sew on yourself). What I do not find acceptable is that after unwrapping it I put it it in the washer and dryer (on delicate) to get the "new fabric" smell and stiffness out as I always do, and the inside stuffing had already started to clump when I took it out of the dryer. So do not expect this insert to last long unless you never wash it! This is not just for the stjaernbraecka by the way: going though my other inserts to get ready for the cold season, I just threw out 2 other Ikea inserts full of "clumps"! Other negative is that as other reviews mention, the seams and quilting sewing for the stjaernbraecka are coming undone, which also aggravates the clumping. My search will go on for an affordable washable duvet insert!
This duvet insert is SO thin.PatrickGonna have to return this. I hadn't bought an Ikea duvet insert maybe 10 years. They have definitely cut corners as this thing is ridiculously thin.

Had Issues with this Item MariNot sure why this item breaks apart the manufacturer must not review the item before sending it out I did return the first two I purchased and exchanged them for the same product hoping the event does not repeat itself, other than that the quilts are great.

Perfect duvet.MariaThis duvet has a lovely weight, which feels truly comforting. At apartment temperatures between 68 and 74 degrees, it's neither too warm nor cold.
It also doesn't shift around as much as my down comforter when I toss and turn.

Falling apartStefanaThis comforter is falling apart at the seams. I wash my bedding frequently because my pets often jump up onto the bed. Ikea advertises their products can stand up to washing. Unfortunately, not in this case. I believe I have washed this comforter three times and it is ruined.
Shrinks 4" in wide and lengthWendyJust a heads up on this. The measurements show 86" x 86" but loses 4 inches each direction. If you have a queen bed, that might make it too narrow for the width of your bed.
Very niceJudyTo be honest, I made a mistake when I ordered this --I wanted the feather/down duvet. That said, this one is lovely and I'll keep it to put in the guest room and wait for the feather one I ordered.

How to care for your polyester duvet
With a little care, you can prolong the life of your polyester duvet and keep it feeling and looking fresh. Use a mild detergent and set your washer on delicate cycle at 60°C – a temperature that eliminates dust mites. Avoid using bleach and fabric softeners. Polyester duvets can be either air-dried or tumble-dried according to the care instructions. In between washes, air your duvet regularly, if possible, in direct sunlight.
