Too thinSandraI was expecting little more material. It is very thin.4
So thinMaggieI expected a thin duvet but this just feels silly. Like you might as well not even use it inside of a duvet cover. Thin polyester pieces sewn together. No weight to it at all which is why I was looking for a warm weather duvet insert. 1
Warm sleepersLoriThis Duvet is great for people who sleep warm. The Duvet keeps you warm but not too warm5
Like itMonicaI love the weight of the insert but we still feel it runs on the warm side.4
Cool for the summerAngieThis worked tike described. Perfect for the hot nights of summer. Cozy and cool.5
Non-standard dimensions, slippery and gets warmKyleThe combination of no loops/pins, slippery material and non-standard dimensions makes it impossible to find a cover that this won’t just bunch up in. I wake up every morning having to readjust it because it moves around too much in the cover. Also still gets quite warm despite being labeled as a cool insert. 2
Perfect for the summer monthsJudiI already have a warm duvet insert that I've used for years, but wanted to have something a little cooler for the summer months. This insert fits the bill perfectly! It is lightweight and keeps me cool even when the daytime temps are in the 90s. It gets cold here where I live at night, but it takes a while for my room to cool down, so this is the perfect lightweight cover to transition from the warmer daytime temps to the nighttime cooldown.5
Needs loops for coverCotyThis item needs loops so you can tie it to the cover.3
Too thin, too light, too slipperyLenaThis duvet is too thin and too lightweight. It's like sleeping under a sheet. The silky material it's made of is too slippery and it doesn't stay inside the insert. The synthetic material doesn't regulate the temperature well. I've been buying cool temperature summer duvets from IKEA for 30 years and this one is a huge disappointment. It's also very expensive for what it is.1
No corner/side tiesSkylerI was excited to get this duvet until I got it home and went to put it in my Ikea duvet cover; no ties on either. How do you make a duvet with no ties?? And it’s not listed on the packaging to tell you that. 1
Much too hot to be “cool”KristynI live in a warm climate with A/C. I was looking for a lightweight/thin and cool duvet insert. Based on the ratings I thought this would be a good fit for my needs, but I was wrong. While this is thin, it is much too warm and uncomfortable to sleep under at night. The A/C is set to 67 at my house and I can’t stand sleeping with this duvet on me. This might be fine for fall, but I’m giving it a 1 because I am tired of sweating all night, and had to give it to Goodwill. 1
Exceeded my expectationsCatherineI ordered this months ago, and to be honest I had doubts about it. It’s pretty thin and I’d read reviews that say the insert doesn’t stay in place in the cover. I sleep warm so my greatest concern was whether or not I would overheat. I’m so happy I went with it because it’s absolutely not disappointed me at all. I’ve had no slipping inside any of the IKEA duvet sets I own and I find both the weight and the temperature control to be amazing. I use it all year long and with the exception of a week or so this past winter when we had sub zero temps I just added a blanket on top of it and was super comfortable. I’ve had no problems washing it and do pretty frequently. Because I tend to sleep European style meaning no top sheet so I wash and dry this every week to 10 days depending on how much I’m traveling and it’s held up amazingly well. I love it so much I’m going to go ahead and order a second one just in case for some reason this gets changed or discontinued.5
Not a standard queen sizeMelissaStop selling full/queen sizes and start selling each as a separate option. I bought the full/queen size duvet and it doesn’t fit my queen duvet covers at all (way too small). The duvet also doesn’t have ties on the corners, so I had to sew some on because I was trying to make it somehow work. For the price, it should at least have corner ties.1
Light, super soft and fluffyYeseniaI finally got rid of my husbands ugly, 20 something year old blanket that I couldn’t get rid of because he liked how cool and light it felt. But it was so ugly it was ruining my decor aesthetic. After buying so many blankets to try and make him get rid of his old blanket, I finally found the one. He loves this duvet. We have been using it as it is but now I jut need to find a duvet cover that he will like..5
Not coolingRachelleNicely made duvet and cool to touch but does not exactly keep you cool. If you put it inside a duvet cover, it slides around due to the silliness. Use it on its own, it’s nice at first for the cooling, then it insulates. I live in Hawaii and bought this duvet on a trip and while it’s a great lightweight duvet, the cooling part is not right. Needed to kick it off in the middle of the night. 2
Decent duvet for warmer nightsKathrynMy summer bed usually only has a top sheet but I wanted just a little bit of weight. I dislike the shiny look and slippery (slimy!) feel of this duvet so ended up putting it in a cover and securing the bottom corners with hair elastics to avoid slippage. I would like to see a non-shiny version so it could be used alone (bypassing the extra two layers of the cover). This version feels WAY overpriced at $60. I may have preferred the Blanepeta except for the color (WHY BLUE?).4
Very light, just enough warmthMarianaI love this duvet insert for being just warm enough to sleep comfortably as a hot sleeper. It's extremely lightweight and soft to the touch. It's rather thin so the average duvet cover will sag on it a bit but it's very comfortable and breathable without being too cold.5
Almost perfect for summerCatherinaI bought this cover. Because it was the lighter weight and fresh, but it’s not for me. I would like a thinner one and more fresh4
Perfect insert !Anonymous reviewerI love my new Grasrotfly. It is perfect for winter and I'm not having any problem with the heat . It stay cool all the time when I'm under the cover or I just use to cover my bed. It's perfect in size and got the right size for my duvet! Thank you so much IKEA !5

Material

Duvet with a cooling effect

This duvet has a cooling effect that keeps you comfy and relaxed. You maintain an even body temperature and get a restful sleep thanks to the wax infused viscose fibers in the filling that absorb excess body heat and releases it back when your body temperature drops. The lyocell/cotton cover also breathes well, which helps air to circulate and moisture to evaporate - A good choice if you often feel too warm while sleeping.
