READ FOR CLIP SOLUTION!!LeslieI love these blinds! I’m in Texas with 102° days and these have helped my electricity bill go down by at least $50 a month! The black ones really do blackout the sunlight, especially if you cut them right to the edge of the window. One thing I keep seeing in the reviews, though, is how the clips don’t hold the entire length of the blind but THEY DO!! Go to YT and search Conflict to Calm Schottis and her video shows how they clip. It’s old and unnecessarily long but if you fast forward almost halfway you’ll see how it works. Why IKEA doesn’t explain how they work in the instructions is beyond me. 5
Good privacy. Does not dim sun intensityRichardOverall, the installation went well, especially after watching a few of the numerous Youtube instructional videos available. The white blinds do provide privacy, but they hardly block any light or solar radiation. I did experience two issues. (1) The top pleats expand much more than the bottom ones. (2) The fabric on the bottom pleat stretched and ripped a bit from the pressure that I put on it when detaching it from the velcro pads that secure the bottom.4
Pretty good AngelaGreat quality, affordable price, really nice design easy to use and install 5
Great find, but clips are an issueAnilaI bought these blinds for our living room. My husband does not like curtains , so we have white blinds on the windows. the room has 5 windows with sun hitting the glass from noon till sundown. I love sunlight coming through our windows but it gets very hot during summers . These are excellent cheap temporary options, and also visually appealing.
But I do have a complain about the clips that hold the blinds. They tend to keep falling off . My daughter found a way to deal with that issue. She used medium sized binder clips to secure the blinds when they are rolled up. They work better that the ones provided with this item. 5
Nice blindsJinalNice blinds. 5
Sleep saversEdithEasy to install and use. Won’t rise high in daytime - just 8 inches with clips (unless like me you push pleats flat and stuff them in to 2” of open top window.) Pro tip - if on double windows, mount shades further away from glass near edge of frame and let two shades overlap at center. This will offer better blackout that trying to get two inside each frame. Zig zag of pleats will let in light. So smart that IKEA makes the blackout shades wider for this purpose!! Excellent product for the money. Caution: adhesive strips on bottom may peel fresh paint on removal in humid climates. 5
Outstanding on metal doors!KatharineMy living room door has a beautiful etched arch design that takes half of the door up and a lovely side panel that's complementary to it. It allows entirely too much direct sunlight in my home during the summer and makes my older AC work even harder.
I purchased this thinking, "the most I have to lose is about $6." I was able to use this one panel to cover both windows and it cut quite cleanly with a good sharp utility knife. The difference was astounding. And rather than using those clips that come with it I used binder clips so I could attach those to the bottom where I put magnets to always keep it in place. It looks neater and the binder clips will hold it in place far better.
I can't speak as to the quality of the adhesive, however, because I used magnets to hold this onto the metal door. If you have that option definitely do it! I cut the one "slat" that has the adhesive right off so it would work even better with the magnets.
A nice short term solution. 5

Schottis shadesGayeWork great, keeps heat out and room pleasantly dark. Looks good and easy to install. I would like them to be longer.5
Eh DinaThey cut easily and would probably stick ok enough but they are not long at all and if you try to stretch them
Out at all, they don’t stick to the top of the window frame . 3
its not paperCeciliathe material is a lot better than paper. They should com in different colors and wider in inches for double windows.4
Looks like original PrasadaThese temporary blinds are beautiful
High quality material. Not paper and long lasting.
Easy to install. I used these for two years until I can afford for actual blinds. Still they were in good condition except dust in the home.
I was not willing to remove as they still good to replace with actual blinds and drapes.
I kept them as not willing trash.
Good price for such high quality material.

Fabric paper shadeChanaBest paper shade till you figure which shade to put in your new house.its a fabric material, kids won't be Able to rip it easily. Also I love the neat clip over the traditional ones 5

Still hanging after four years!SheliseI purchased these blinds in 2021 as temporary blinds for my window until I purchased curtains. Well they looked so great with my curtains that I did not remove them and they are still hanging 4 years later!5
Good for what it is....ScottI bought a good number of the light filtering and room darkening ones. These are a very basic blind. They stick to the top and hang down. They are material as opposed to paper, so they look pretty good and serve their purpose well. They are easy to cut to size with a utility razor that has a fresh blade, so bonus points for covering the window completely. I intend to put curtains over them and they should help with insulation on my own windows as well.
Some annoying negatives. It has a tag sewn on, so if you try to rip it off, it will tear the blind. Then on the light filtering ones, there is a sticker label along the top that is hard to remove without damaging it, so make sure that is facing the outside. Then the clip that holds it at the bottom seems kind of useless.
Again, great product at the right price point.5
Functional blindMauryBeen seeking a window covering far a challenging atch transom window (a window over a doorway), these inexpensive, easy to cut to size, inexpensive blinds are perfect.5
Great temporary fix CarolinaBlinds offer full blackout. They’re easy to install. The little plastic pieces that hold them up during the day keep falling off. But overall great temporary fix until I get my permanent blinds installed.
