FlickersTobinRead the reviews first unlike me - this light flickers whenever it is dimmed, especially at the lower settings. It's not the bulb, I tried a few different ones, it's bad electronics inside the fixture. I would have returned it but it's not worth the drive.
Won’t turn off?MaggieThis is so weird. I love these little lamps. We hung them in my son’s room and I love that you can move them and dim them. I find them sturdy enough and they were easy to install. However, I can’t get them to turn off?! I turn the knob all the way to the left and it clicks but there is a dim blow from the bulb that continues all night.
Great lampPriscillaI have had this lamp for about 8 years. I use it as a bed lamp and it works perfectly for reading in bed. I have never changed the bulb, but am about to buy extras for back-up. I have low vision and the dimmer can dial up the light high so I can shine it directly on my book. It is inconspicuous on the wall. One of my best IKEA buys.

FLICKER!!! Terrible lampAnneI’m wayyyy outside the return period of 180 days (and way too far to run back and forth for returns), but this light has gone from at first being jittery at low light setting to downright flickering on and off really fast. It’s pretty insane looking. I might try another bulb (already tried a non-IKEA bulb), but not only am I disappointed in this lamp— I will never buy any lighting at IKEA, ever. For the price this should work better, plus it has to be anchored into the wall so there’s a bit of commitment for such a defective lamp. 100% do NOT recommend!
Works wellJudithThis lamp works well. I especially like the dimmable feature. When used with the correct DIMMABLE bulb type (not from IKEA) the light doesn't flicker the way many people complained about.
Gets the job done, but a little cheap.Anonymous reviewerI bought this lamp to go in our nursery nook. It’s a very simple design and effectively solved a lighting problem that we had—with a very neutral aesthetic. I docked a star because it arrived with a grease stain on the white cord and the plastic piece that holds the cord in place snapped off when I followed the instructions and clicked the release button to take off the back plate before mounting.
*Worth noting is that hardware is not included for this item, which was kind of annoying and unexpected for IKEA. I will note that when I looked back, I saw that this was mentioned in the specs. Still, I would have paid a couple dollars more for them to just include everything that I needed to install it. Just make it easy for me!

Lovely sconcesGraceI've had these installed for about 2 years now and they are wonderful. I saw another review pointed out that the issues people are having with flickering are probably due to people not using dimmable bulbs in them! I have dimmable bulbs from Ikea in them and have had 0 issues and the dimming is my favorite part! Never had to change the bulbs once in 2 years, also.
Badly NoiseIraBought a couple, one is making the noise that I can’t stand. Need to replace but I have already fixed it in my headboard. So it’s absolutely useless. I’m upset.

Lights Flicker and Knob Falls OffRicardoAs other reviews note, the lights tend to flicker when dimmed, making it very hard to use them for something like reading. Additionally, the knob one one of the lights I purchased fell off (after minimal normal usage) and will not go back on, making the light unusable. I wish IKEA would stop selling this defective product as it clearly does not work based on customer reviews.
Cute little lampSeonheeI was never a fan of Ikea until I started changing things in our house. In our small home ikea furnitures have been space saver and game changer.
In our guest bedroom we used trone shoe storage as a floating night stand and mounted this lamp on the wall on top of them.
It works perfectly and make sure to get the dimmable bulb. There are same looking nondimmable bulbs.
So we got more for other rooms.
Get dimmable bulbs to avoid the flicker!SamanthaThese are exactly what I was looking for. Great construction, visually clean and simple, and the perfect small size.
As other reviews have mentioned, I experienced the flickering at lower settings when I first installed these lamps. But I discovered that the bulbs I picked up were the NON-DIMMABLE kind. Once I installed specifically DIMMABLE bulbs, there was no more flicker.
Admittedly, having small fingers will help with installation of the bulb, but it's fine.

A cute little lamp!NicoleI bought this for a headboard lamp, something a little stronger to do sewing and crochet in bed while watching tv. It works well and I suggest getting a dimmable bulb because this little guy is bright with a normal one. I'm tempted to get another one for a friend. I only wish it came in black as well.

I’m baffled by the poor reviews. Mine has never flickered and the dimmer works fine. I purchased my bulb elsewhere since I heard the IKEA bulbs were iffy.
