We like to read in bed at night, so these lamps are ideal for a single person's book--until the clamp breaks. Fortunately, we have been able to replace the lamps a couple of times.4

not durableMartinbought this less then a year ago -- for our guest room -- rarely used and the lightbulb just died -- tried to get a replacement bulb -- but the chat people need a receipt --- who keep a receipt for a $20 item you paid for in cash?
Looks nice -- you can remove the part with the bulb -- but can't get a replacement unless you are lucky enough to keep thge receipt.

Clip breaksStevenLess than a year after purchase, the plastic clip broke. The lamp was "permanently" clipped to a bed frame, so it's not like this was off and on constantly. Not durable.1
Great small lampNaomiThe clamp is unfortunately too small to attach to a Malm headboard, but it’s a very good bedside lamp. Note that it’s not as bright as the similar floor lamp.5

Lightbulb is not replaceable!PatriciaI have had this light for about two years. It is in a closet and gets turned on very rarely. The bulb has dimmed to almost nothing. I contacted IKEA and the bulb screws off but they do not sell replacement bulbs! So I throw out the entire lamp and buy a new one, very wasteful!!!1
Clip breaksReneeI have two of these and love everything about them however the clip is made out of plastic and with hardly any use both of my lamps now have broken clips.2

Bright and bendyAmyI use it for a reading light at night. It is a little bright for that but it is better than trying to keep up with batteries. Easy to direct where you need the light. I clamped it to the back of my rocking chair and it is nice and secure.4
Sister's favoriteCarolThis is the third time that my sister has requested this particular lamp. In fact, last time I was at IKEA, there were only black ones available but she need one, so I bought it. When I was at IKEA this time, the white ones were available so I bought two. My sister depends on these for her reading light in her bedroom.5
