IKEA of Sweden

  • The mattress cover is removable in two parts so it is easy to take off and air out. The top part is also machine-washable.

All of our mattresses can be used immediately, but keep in mind that a packaged mattress only regains its full shape and comfort after approximately 72 hours. Your body also needs a couple of weeks to adapt to the new mattress.

Sometimes the mattress has a noticeable smell when you open the packaging. The smell isn’t harmful or toxic and disappears over time. Airing and vacuuming the mattress helps to eliminate the smell faster.

Product is possible to recycle or use for energy recovery, if available in your community.

To be completed with a slatted bed base or a slatted mattress base.

The mattress is very firm and comfortable.MICHAEL N.It is almost too firm, but I sleep very well on it. This is a great mattress and very affordable.4
Dimensions not as mentionedWareesha K.Ordered this mattress in firm king size, comfort wise it's good but dimensions are not same, thickness of the mattress after 4 days is barely 6 inches, width is 75 inches and length is barely 77. Not the dimensions of king size.3
Mattress Quality has degraded over yearsDeepika J.We have been using this mattress (firm queen size) for more than 5 years and absolutely love it. Last year, we bought another queen mattress which is not as firm as our first one but we didn’t mind as it was mostly used in the guest room. Recently, we upgraded to a king firm mattress which is worst in terms of firmness and sinks when sat on. The quality of this mattress/model has definitely gone down. Ober the years. I regret my recent purchase and it’s a hassle to return/exchange it.1
firm, but not firm enoughLucy W.it's better than the medium-firm mattress I used before, but it still sags.4
MUY MUY MUY BUENO!!!Henry B.EXCELLENT!!! Like all of you!!! I have my entire room decorated and furnished with their products... and the quality of the mattress is unbeatable!!! thanks IKEA...5
Not a queen size!!!Md H.I brought queen size mattress but when I brought queen bed frame, its 2inch short of queen bed frame!!! I felt really bad.. i dont have complain about quality but this should be perfect size (60*80) but actually 2 inch short each direction!!! I don’t know how I will fix this!!!1
Good for what I expectedANTONELLAThe mattress is as hard as a floor. But that’s what I needed. I put a 2 inch topper from Amazon on and it’s perfect . I haven’t slept like this in months. BTW, my first review was negative as the mattress had a strange smell . Like cigarette butts.4
MattressLucia M.Comfortable worth the price !5
Good Value for comfortSIMI S.Great value, guests have said that they feel comfortable on the bed with this mattress.5
Hard at first now more comfortable after a year.Brittany R.When I first bought this mattress it was too hard to the point my hips were hurting from using it. Now the bed is broken in and super comfortable. An added plus is that the cover comes off and is machine washable. This mattress is perfect for me as I have scoliosis.4
UncomfortableSandy S.Very hard mattress.1
firm and comfortablecarolee v.I have loved this mattress for some time and am on my second one. Good price, great product.5
Good and badSandeep M.1. Good and comfortable. 2. fitting and mattress size is really bad.1
Worst Mattress I Have Ever Slept OnMuhammad A.Quite literally just a block of styrofoam. I had the worst sleep I've ever had in my life. I immediately bought a mattress the next day for half the price and twice the quality online. DO NOT buy a mattress from IKEA under any circumstances. Not only is the quality extremely poor, their advertised "180-day return policy for opened products" doesn't apply. I was checked that this was the return policy before buying it and when I tried to return it the next day they told me that the fine print on the receipt says this policy applies to everything except mattresses. It's literally a sneaky scam to try to force you to pay more for a better mattress, because anything relatively lower end is such absolute garbage at IKEA. Please save yourself the trouble and just buy a mattress online or from a reputable source.1
King mattressPremkumar M.Highly recommended! Big relief for who is suffering from back pain5
least comfortable mattressMillie J.I ordered the firm, thinking it would be good but I may as well be sleeping on the floor.1
Great mattressAreli M.Soft not too wide and comfortable5
Medium is too softMarta R.I have this mattress in firm and full size and it is THE BEST. I love it. I recently bought a twin size, and ACCIDENTALLY got the medium firm. I thought it would be ok, because I've slept on a medium-firm king size which is ok, but the twin is very soft in comparison. I might even sleep on the floor between today and when I can get a replacement. If you like firm, go with firm. Especially on twin.3
Great mattress for a great priceLUCYA L.Very comfortable mattress and the perfect firmness for a good night’s sleep5

Roll-packed – not just easy to take home

Most of our mattresses and all mattress toppers come roll-packed. This saves space and costs less to transport, allowing us to also reduce our carbon footprint by having fewer trucks on the road. We can then pass our cost savings on to you and you can take home your new mattress or mattress topper more easily. It’s a win-win situation for you and the environment.

What is foam?

Foam is excellent as upholstery in seating and mattresses since it provides good comfort and can relieve pressure by moulding to the body. Depending on the properties and feel you’re looking for, there are several qualities to choose from, like high-resilience foam and memory foam. The raw material for foam was previously based entirely on virgin fossil materials. But today, together with our suppliers, we’ve begun developing a material that is renewable and recycled.

Designer thoughts

"As a designer I’m inspired by patterns, so I began creating the mattresses with lots of shapes in mind. Dots, stripes and squares, combined in all sorts of ways. Suddenly I remembered the quilted winter coats of my childhood – and the pattern was born. Different squares for different sizes, and seams on the thinner mattresses that make a striped pattern. The number of seams increases along with the price and the quilted squares give extra support. I hope you’ll find a mattress to suit both your body and your wallet."
