really comfyShannonI love firm minimalist mattresses and this one is great. It's thin enough that it wouldn't work on top of slats, but it's perfect on a box spring. Can't speak to longevity but I'm very happy with it for now. Even the offgassing wasn't bad, and that's something I'm very sensitive to. As a bonus, after swiching from a horrible squishy mattress to this one, my partner's snoring even got better, since I think this mattress helps keep their head and neck in better alignment.5
Thin pad.AnaHorrible purchase, dog beds are a lot more cushioned. It feels very thin and not comfy at all.1
Not too badShiannaThese mattresses aren’t bad at all. One thing that does make them a lot better and more comfortable is adding a foam topper on them for better cushion and support.5
Incredibly uncomfortableTeasiaBought as a topper for a mattress I already had because I needed a little more cushion. But it feels like it's got chunks of rocks in it. Very lumpy and not at all what I expected a foam mattress to feel like.1
Not comfyDeeI don’t know why cant normal sleep1
Post back surgery solution!MichelleFull disclosure-I was not looking for a mattress for a bed, rather more of a mattress topper.
My teen son recently had major back surgery and was unable to sleep comfortably in his bed. He also is not yet able to tolerate sitting upright for longer than 30 minutes. He eventually discovered the firmness of the living room floor was comfortable during the day and for sleeping at night, but needed some cushioning, so we layered blankets for him. Our local Ikea had this mattress in stock, so I went to pick it up, and it has worked perfectly on the floor for him. When he is ready to return to his bed (with his 5 year old Ikea mattress that is a little lumpy), we'll see how this works as a topper.5
Love it!CandaceIt’s comfortable and exactly what I needed! 5
ComfyCassandraComfy , works for my kids5
Comfortable and medium firmKarenI have these on the Hemnes Daybed. The mattresses are medium firm and the guests who have slept on them say they are comfortable.4
Not to firmMariaShould be a little stronger3
ThinJaneThe agotnes mattress was so thin it was like lying down on lettuce1
Stinks for weeksSanjayPurchased and opened it to air out the usual memory foam-type chemical smell. Right away, the mattress smells strong and different.
I aired it out in a spare bedroom for many days with the fan on, and it made the bedroom stink.
Then I put it in the garage with the door cracked open and a powerful fan.
2 weeks later the mattress still stank.
Went to IKEA and was given a gift card because the mattress was 'opened'.
Now I'm stuck with a gift card that I don't need as I do not shop regularly at IKEA.
All this for a mattress that I didn't sleep on a single minute.1
Ok for kidsVenieshaIf you are buying this mattress for kids you should be good! Adults not so much! It’s not supportive enough for an adult weight!2
not easy to flipAnonymousproblem is that the mattress has a fabric 'top' and an anti-slip 'bottom', so when rotatingthe mattress, you can't easily flip it unless you remove the cover, flip the foam, and then put the cover back on. this is an arduous process. the smooth side of the foam is also more comfortable to sleep on, so i already had to do this once. quite annoying. but the price is good, and once flipped, also very nice to lay down on. we are using this on a solid surface, so i can't say how this would feel on slats. 3
Somewhat thin.JerryFor those of you who need a lot of support while sleeping, please consider something else. I know the price point makes it more appealing, but unless you're in very good health (or used to sleeping on uncomfortable surfaces like say- a soldier) then this mattress will not give you the rest you need. The construction is good overall, though!3
Too thinVanessaMy boys didn’t not like they say it’s too thin2
Do not waste your money nor time with this mattressErickThis Sponge pad(thats all it is) is soft and thin, feels like you are sleeping over the bare bed slats/structure. If you are over 100 pounds this mattress will offer you a lot of pain. Pain in the knees and buttocks when you get into the bed and hip and back pain when you sleep on it. If that is not enough, the sponge does not dissipate heat, giving you the sensation that you are sleeping half wrapped on a sheet of plastic. Finally the mattress case is made of the cheapest coarse fabric they could source, only comparable to the blankets/pillow you get on an airplane. I would have given it no Stars at all.1
