SmellsWorseMaTThe mattress feels good. Not hard as some have said, BUT it stinks. might be a glue they used but it smells really bad. I tried airing and still smelled bad. if you are ok with smell then this is a good mattress.1
Strong odorGmaJuWe tried everything to help decrease the strong off-gassing odor: vacuuming, windows open, fan blowing constantly, and finally- when that didn't help: encasing the mattress in a special allergen zippered bag. The odor got worse over time (2 weeks) instead of better. The whole bedroom smelled so bad it made our eyes water. I returned the mattress today. I was told I could only get store credit. I objected since this product is clearly defective and possibly toxic. They agreed to a refund. IKEA- you need to do a safety check on your supplier in Mexico. I think they are cutting corners and adding toxic chemicals to produce the foam for this mattress. Also IKEA- Why don't you sell Myrbacka in twin? We love that mattress.1
Hard as a rock!tatigenevieveThis bed is ridiculously hard, it feels like I’m sleeping on the floor. Even if I sleep on my side my arms give out because of how hard this mattress is! My back hurts so bad from sleeping on this I can’t even sleep because of how hard it is. I tried it out at ikea and it didn’t feel this way. If you like sleeping on the floor or maybe on rocks this mattress is for you!1
BEST MATTRESS I"ve ever slept on!DA_HoustonTxI have had back problems my whole life, often made worse by the mattresses I've slept on, and I've tried every type on the market. Recently I had the unfortunate experience of having to sleep on a futon for 2 years and my back problems flared up so bad that I had to go on heavy duty medication. It took 3 months to begin to heal, all due to sleeping on a futon. I went to IKEA and found the MORGEDAL.Finally, some relief from my pain. It's both supportive and extremely comfortable. I like a firm mattress, so that's what I got. But it is comfortably firm. It does not feel like a rock, but supports my back in all the right places. I sleep well every night now and look forward to lying down on my mattress at the end of the day. I'm about to buy a second one for my daybed in the living room. I decided not to get a sofa, but a more practical, comfortable, platform bed with a Morgedal on top. Also, I chose the Morgedal because it is NOT memory foam, it is polyurethane. Memory foam is too HOT for me and I don't like the sinking feeling it gives. Morgedal is not hot, it supports in the right places, and gives just enough to soothe and cradle me to sleep. I hope IKEA never stops making this mattress. It's hard to find a quality polyurethane foam mattress that feels this good and supports so well. Every night is an AHHHHH experience.5
SO hard and uncomfrtable!sadmom71I have never in my life written a bad review, this product feels like you are sleeping on the floor. Even my 10 year old thinks it is too hard (and we got the medium firmness one). So sad...returning it no doubt.1
Very comfortableNicoleRN1984We bought this for the guest bed and it’s super comfortable!5
Nice and comfyEmsTinyHomeI got two of these mattresses for my grown and nearly grown teens since their spring mattresses had worn out. My only complaint is that they're so comfy my kids don't want to get out of bed.5
Too firmDaniel at HoustonEven if I sleep on my side I usually prefer firmer mattresses, but this one kills my shoulders. I will change it.3
MamarrachoExcelent I am very happy And I recomened it5
Very comfortableDonna57Love this mattress, very comfortable. The mattress comes very nicely wrapped with plastic and Velcro handles for easy carrying and just as easy to undo and put on the bed frame.5
Compact and comfortableOregon12I bought this for my guest room/office for use as a daybed. It is firm enough for a couch, but comfortable enough to sleep on4
Great mattress for the price!Mouse8709This is the best mattress I ever bought from IKEA. Worth every cents. Can be used also on a futon frame. Dimension are perfect. Since it is foam it is foldable.5
Great Quality for it"s affordable priceCCH31Loved the firmness of this bed!5
Absolutely love it!chocolate EPerfect firmness. Would like it a little thicker, deeper; the bed is now lower than with the old mattress. I had to change sheets and buy some others.4

Like cementLdyamaWe needed to furnish a place in a weekend. Biggest regret was wasting miney on the brick hard mattress. Even with the topper, brick hatd.1
Too hard for me, maybe not for youmommabossIf you like a very firm mattress, this might be right up your alley. I personally prefer something more on the soft end. To be honest, I tried this in the store and thought it was close enough for putting in my son's room. It's possible I walked out of the store with the wrong model, as this is much more firm than what I tried in the showroom. The label says it will soften over time. I've had it for a few months, and it hasn't softened yet. It is primarily only slept on by my 3 year old, who hasn't complained about it, but I do lay down on it each night to read bedtime stories. I would have taken advantage of the return policy, but my son peed on it... guess it's mine now! The overall quality is very good. Can't complain about the price at all!3
This is the best mattress we’ve ever hadLyns_sSleeping on this feels amazing. It would be the best sleep my husband and I have ever had, if I weren’t such a wild sleeper. But I literally never want to leave our bed because it’s so comfortable. It’s firm but cozy. Highly recommend. I can’t wait to get another one so we can have a really huge bed.5
"As a designer I’m inspired by patterns, so I began creating the mattresses with lots of shapes in mind. Dots, stripes and squares, combined in all sorts of ways. Suddenly I remembered the quilted winter coats of my childhood – and the pattern was born. Different squares for different sizes, and seams on the thinner mattresses that make a striped pattern. The number of seams increases along with the price and the quilted squares give extra support. I hope you’ll find a mattress to suit both your body and your wallet."
