Forest schoolTaraI haven’t used them yet but bought them for my forest school kids to help them explore. Product is as described and the price point was perfect to be able to give each kid one to use. I have always liked Ikea products in the past so I imagine this will be the same.

If only the compass worked…BetsyI purchased two of these and as other reviewers noted neither compass works. The set is rugged and perfect for children to explore their world, both inside and out. If only the compass worked it would be a 5 star item.
Compas does NOT work. YanaGood for small hands, nice for pretend play, but as I wished to describe my son that compassion always will point to the North, I realized it did not work at all. Then I read some reviews and understand that it's not only me... disappointing that quality from IKEA is unexpected bad surprise

The compasses aren’t calibratedJasperOnly buy this in-store where you can choose one of the few nearly correct compasses. They seem to be pointing in random directions. I guess that doesn’t matter if you want it for pretend play and not STEM? The magnifying glass is good enough and the kaleidoscope effect is cool.
