DO NOT BUYJosalynThis has been a horrible product purchase and I seriously recommend you do not purchase. We've have this sleeper sofa as a guest bed for two years. We couldn't return it because I had it shipped to me as we don't have an IKEA in the area. First, the mattress is way too firm. Guests wake up with back pain, shoulder, and neck pain because it's like sleeping on a piece of wood (maybe a little softer, but close!). Secondly, once the sofa is reclined into a bed, you need someone strong to push it back into a sofa. Finally, the cover is ill fitting and IKEA must have been trying to save money, by making the cover as small as possible, but still able to fit. It's a waste of your money.

The return policy is a joke when you can only return the frame for a refund and the mattress for a replacement/alternate which is not a possibility in this scenario.
I really wish I would have tried this out in store instead of relying on reviews that can't be real.

Solid FutonDanielleFor the price and ease of putting the whole thing together (about 8-9 pieces to connect, mattress and cover included) it's a good buy. If you plan on using it for sleep on a regular basis, keep in mind that as a bed it's quite firm (pleasantly so if you're into that). I was expecting the cover to just be a form fitted blanket, but the cover feels sturdy and appropriately weighted.
I bought it online and regret it just because I'm a bit too tall to lounge comfortably while the product is in sofa mode. I've never had an issue with being too tall for Ikea seating in the past, so this really threw me for a loop. You should definitely try it out in person if you don't already have seating that mirrors its dimensions handy. I've already put the whole thing together, so I'll just have to make due. Hopefully, the right ottoman will help with the issue.

We had a bit of trouble at first. We completed assembly & noticed the bed continually folded up on us. We went back to the assembly instructions & discovered we had put the wheels facing the wrong direction in step 4. (pg 7) We were able to correct our error & now the bed works perfectly. (Stays flat when it should)
We purchased this for our RV & the dimensions are perfect for the space! (& it’s much more comfortable than the couch/air mattress bed that we took out!)

No spare parts after 7 yearsMayaAfter 7 years of use, one of the plastic protections on the legs of the sofa broke. Ikea does not provide replacement parts for that particular part. I am looking for a solution. The sofa bed is supposed to have a 10 year warranty.
Great idea. Bad MattressKrystalThe concept is great. It pulls out with ease and easy to put away. The mattress, on the other hand, it extremely hard. It is a thick foam mattress but has no give. Just firm. If you can find a mattress with the same concept as Ikea's, you are good.
