The fabric dims daylight entering the room and reduces glare. It gives a comfortable sense of privacy as people cannot see in. At night, silhouettes can be perceived from outside when the room is lit.

Heading tape curtains with tie-backs allow you to hang the curtain directly on the rod or to hinge the curtain to the rail using gliders and hooks. The matching tiebacks enhance the fulness of the fabric.

Cotton is a soft, durable and easy-care natural material that you can machine wash.

Using gliders and hooks usually creates a more formal and dressed-up feel, where hardware is not visible.

The heading tape makes it easy for you to create pleats using RIKTIG curtain hooks.

Suitable for combining with room darkening/block-out curtains or blinds when you want to limit or block out light entering the room entirely.

To determine the total width of curtains needed, multiply the rod/track length by 1.5 for a light, airy look, 2 for a standard look, and by 2.5 for a fuller, richer look.

To determine the number of curtains needed, divide the rod/track length by the width of one curtain. Always round up.

Since the fabric will shrink when washing it is a good idea to wash the curtains prior to cutting/hemming.

Use SY iron-on hemming strip to shorten the curtains without sewing.

15 gliders and hooks are usually recommended for each curtain with a width of 55⅛". You can increase or decrease the number depending on whether you want narrower or fuller folds in the pleats.

Beautiful but came in different lengthsPhoebeI just received these today and hung them up to see what they look like but was so disappointed when I saw that one side of the curtain is almost 2” shorter than the other. This is even before washing, which I probably won’t even do… 3

Shrinks and not as "light" pink :(SadieI love that it is 100% cotton, although not sure if it is OEKO-TEX certified. HOWEVER, be warned, per all the other comments, it does shrink after washing. In store, I really wanted the off white, but they sold out in the 96in, so I settled for pink. I really wish the pink was a lighter baby pink, the color is much brighter/lighter in store compared to when it is hung up in the room (of course this will vary because of rooms, windows, sunlight, etc.) Feels pretty thick and heavy for being light filtering. The hang ties are separate from the curtains itself, so I have misplaced it a few times, but not a big deal.3
Shrinkage MariaWow, I washed then hung them to the correct length. But the next time I washed them, they shrunk even more. Now they are a good 6” off the ground. 1

DisappointedEmilyAfter washing the curtains, the two panels shrunk to noticeably different lengths, making them impossible to hang evenly. This is especially frustrating because curtains are meant to be washed before use, and consistency between panels is essential. The shrinkage was uneven, not just overall shortening. I’ve always trusted IKEA for reliable basics, but this quality issue was disappointing.2

DisappointedRebecccaI bought these in store so I didn’t read the reviews in advance. I also now see on the care tag affixed to the curtain the note about 4% shrinkage. I perhaps should have looked at the care tag before washing to make sure it matched the care instructions on the product label, but why would I assume they would be different? The product label that’s visible when purchasing notes that these are made of cotton, however, the information about shrinkage is not included. This feels misleading because I would expect something like a washable curtain to be pre-shrunk or explicitly state that it is not otherwise the length of the product is essentially false. I would argue that these are in fact not washable because as soon as you wash them the curtain is essentially ruined since the length is altered. Very disappointed. 1

Confirming uneven hems after washingCourtneyAfter seeing reviews that these curtains shrink in the wash, I opted to buy the 96" ones and hem them myself instead of buying the 86" versions (which would have perfectly fit my windows). I bought three pairs and washed them in warm water; each curtain shrank a different length, all between 4 and 8 inches, and several shrank unevenly. The good news is that they look really nice and expensive now that they're hemmed, and I like that they're 100% cotton.3
Great quality cotton curtainsJohnPurchased in the green and off-white. The off-white is on the warm to yellowy side fwiw. They definitely filter light nicely and add privacy. Obviously they are not blackout curtains and will not provide full privacy. One pair had some length issues at the top but it wasn't a big deal. I do wish these had tabs for the rod instead of the string but can't complain at this price. I came back to buy more. I don't personally need to wash curtains, but yeah 100% cotton is obviously going to shrink, even if you don't put them in the dryer. This is laundry 101.5

What Happened?! MarthaI absolutely loved my Lenda drapes but now they’re actually a different style! What happened to the tabs?! The off-white is now more tan! I tried hand washing my current ones bc of all the shrinkage complaints and well it was better than I anticipated although still shrunk some… definitely disappointed 2
