Board-on-frame is a strong and lightweight material with a frame in wood, particleboard or fiberboard and a recycled paper filling. It requires less raw materials and is easy to transport, which reduces the environmental impact.

Good to know

This tabletop is suitable to use with legs from our Build Your Own Desk range. It's not suitable to use with underframes from our office range (like MITTZON, TROTTEN or IDÅSEN).

Care

Wipe clean using a damp cloth and a mild cleaner.

Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

For increased stability, re-tighten the screws about two weeks after assembly and when necessary.

Safety and compliance

This desk has been developed and tested for home used and is not suitable for installation of a screen stand. Maximum evenly distributed weight is 110 lbs. Do not place concentrated weight exceeding 33 lbs. on a small surface on the desk.This table has been developed for home use and meets the requirements for durability and stability set forth in the following standards: EN 12521 and EN 1730.

It took 5 phone calls to try and get a second return label which never arrived. I ended up having to cram both tops and legs into one box since they only gave me one return label. Practical & lightweight GloriaThis work top surface is the perfect fit for my crafting area. After putting it on top of 2 cubicles (cubby holes made by another manufacturer) I easily created a workbench to wrap presents, sew and put my cricut machine on. It’s the perfect depth and width. 5

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
