OK, but disappointed!!DaveOK, I made a mistake with this, it IS too big, my stupid mistake, but I think I can live with, if not - I have a saw and sandpaper!! 😄 Not sure the extra piece of wood is a good addition, just stops you using both sides easily, unless you place it on the edge of your worktop, but I don’t like it that close to the edge, so that piece, IF I decide to use the……..thing, will be coming off. BUT - I cannot understand why a cutting board is supplied WITHOUT being oiled and ready for use, that is simply stupid! I understand that it might increase the cost, by what????? $3 to €5…….max? If I decide to use it, I’ll trim it down to the channel, and repurpose the use of the channel.2

The first was dedicated to bread making, and I liked it so much I bought a second for savory food prep. The lip on the edge combined with the addition of a non skid pad underneath is a great combo for kneading large batches of dough. It needed minimal oiling prior to use. 5

What is bamboo?

Strong, flexible and one of the world's fastest growing plants – bamboo has many uses that make it an excellent renewable material. It’s a type of grass and usually grows without the need for fertilizers or irrigation. After being harvested, it grows new shoots that are ready for harvesting after 4-6 years. At IKEA, we use bamboo for items like furniture, bathroom decor, baskets and lamps – and we are constantly exploring more areas of use for this versatile material.
