Nasty cork smell permeates the waterAliceI was so excited for this carafe, perfect size and design. One major problem: the cork has a strong persistent smell that I can't get rid of no matter what I do. I use this jug for water and it actually FLAVORS the water with the nasty scent. If you plan on using this without the cork or only maybe for a short period with the cork it's probably okay
6 cupsLourdesBeen looking for affordable glass pitcher and will fit nicely in the refrigerator. This is perfect
Love the sizeBrendaI paint on glassware. This will be a perfect addition to 4 matching glasses
Glass pitcherYolandaI bought 2 of these pitchers for ice tea and lemonade. They fit in my refrigerator nicely, not taking up too much room!
quite good, but glass is thinSanjayquite good design, but glass is thin, should have been thicker/stronger.
Perfect for Lemonade!JenniferI use it to store fresh, homemade lemonade.
Great pitcherBarbaraI love that this item is glass with a cork lid. It’s constantly being used in my refrigerator for cold water. The fact that it’s not plastic makes me feel better to use as plastic is by far really bad for the environment.
Convenient light-weight glass pitcher.DenisVery convenient pitcher to use in the kitchen, it's a replacement for the same one purchased years ago, that was accidentally broken. The only recommendation for IKEA would be to change the cork-made lid to plastic one, as it's difficult to clean the cork.
Cork lid got moldSergiI got this pitcher to keep water for my baby. Unfortunately, the cork lid got moldy within the first week of use so now I cannot use this product at all:-( Do not recommend!
Cork grows moldYinkaThe lid will grow mold regardless of what you do (short of sealing it with one of those sealants from Birkenstock for shoe cork).
Mold grows on corkRisaHad the pitcher for less than a year, no liquid touched the cork stopper, but it began to grow mold on the cork. Apparently that's pretty common. Wouldn't buy this, because it's not great without a lid.
Great pitcherMbThis pitcher is the perfect size. It holds an adequate volume of liquid. The style is simple and clean and fits my kitchen aesthetic.
Love itIsabelI love it @ use it for water or any drinks I prepare.
OK but not greatAnonymousGlass breaks pretty easily and if you fill pitcher full enough that water touches the cork cover, the cork can become musty smelling. The smell never goes away and makes the water in the pitcher taste musty even when the cork is dry.
Super cute, a little smaller than what i thought태희Super cute, does the job, I love how sleek and minimalistic it is
As describedAnonymousConvenient size, good transperancy. Would be nice to be able to order additional cork lids
Not worth the money ChoiThe wooden lid broke after one day I use it. Look pretty until you use it. Would Not recommend.
Everybody needs some water!QuewettaI use this because everyone does not want cold water from the fridge. So I keep this on the table for breakfast. My family says I am being fancy, why not since we don't eat all of our meals together anymore since they are in high school and college. This let's them get a quick drink of water after having that glass of juice for breakfast. I like using this outside as well just sit it on the table with water in one lemonade in one, sweet tea in one and strawberry lemonade in another now you can choose your drink of choice while we sit outside for movie night or stay inside. Back in the fridge to be finished off tomorrow.
Replacement LidsJenniferIKEA should sell replacement cork tops for when they wear out. I hate to have to get rid of the pitchers (or accompanying carafes) because the cork has gotten stained, dried out, etc.

Material
What is cork?
Cork comes from cork oak bark which is carefully cut from the tree’s trunk. It then takes about nine years until the tree forms new bark that can be harvested. Since a cork oak can live to be aged 150-200, each one produces a lot of cork during its lifetime. Cork has several good qualities as a material: it’s lightweight, flexible, waterproof and naturally resists fire. We use it in furniture and accessories.
