Great Set of Stainless Steel Kitchen KnivesSabira A.We bought these as we were looking for better quality kitchen knives for daily use that would be more durable. This set is perfect for our needs. We use them daily and sharpen them when needed. Out of the many knives we've owned and tested, these are our favorite. Whether you're in dorms or your home I can't recommend these enough. If you put in a little effort to maintain them, they should last you quite a while. Don't run them through the dishwasher as it can warp them, hand wash and dry, and sharpen them when they're dull.5

The set pairs nicely with the Hyvla block, and -- overall -- looks nice in my kitchen. My only gripe is that they could've spent a little more time on the grip aesthetic... but it does not impair the functionality or comfort of the knives.5

Material

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing items – without losing its valuable properties.
