I didn’t expect plastic hardware for the drawers for $1,000LorriThe hardware that supports the drawer bottoms are plastic. I was disappointed to say the least. No, I don’t expect to be storing anvils down there but tiny plastic posts and clips are sad.
Sturdy and PracticalChristopherAfter years of squeezing into a queen-size bed with a portable (collapsible) frame and a medium-soft mattress, my partner and I (both 6'+ and over 400 lbs combined) finally took the plunge on this king bed frame and a proper mattress. What a transcendent upgrade - no more squeaks or rattles, and enough additional storage to prevent any arguments over dresser drawer space. I'm mechanically savvy and had the frame and drawers assembled solo in about 2 hours, but I found the instructions to be clear enough with only a hiccup here and there (based on some illustrations that required careful study of parts orientations). Absolutely pleased that it came with slats and fit a standard, non-IKEA mattress without issue.
ZERO starsHannaThis bed broke after 2 months. The metal support bar has literally bent in the middle so the mattress now sags in the middle. For a $1k bed, this should have held up to 2 average sized adults sleeping...one of us is slightly overweight and the other is slightly underweight according to our BMIs. EXTREMELY disappointed in this purchase.

Big and stable headboard as a backrestRonaldThe king-size bed is very stable. The installation took a bit of time, but the result was good. This is not a bed if you move a lot since it requires some installation/de-installation and is heavy. But once set up, it is very stable and comfortable.
Great bed, terrible slatsRobertWe ordered the king size. The bed is great, the curved slats are terrible. There are two seperate sections of curved slats and they meet and curve down at the center of the bed, leaving the mattress to sag in the middle - and causing both people to roll into the center of the bed. We had to purchase thrid party replacement slats to get the matress to lay flat. Disappointing.
Not as advertised in showroom JulianI recently purchased this bed frame expecting it to match the model I saw in the showroom. Unfortunately, upon opening the boxes at home, I discovered a significant difference. The showroom model had removable upholstery covers, which was a key selling point for me as it made cleaning easy. However, the one I received had the upholstery covers stapled to the wood, making them impossible to remove and wash.
Since I needed the bed frame immediately, I decided to keep it despite this issue. Returning it would’ve been a hassle, considering the effort required to repack everything and transport it back to the store.
I'm quite disappointed with this experience, as the product does not match what was advertised in the showroom. If the removable covers are important to you, make sure to double-check this feature before purchasing. IKEA should ensure that their showroom models accurately represent the products they sell.
Luxurious upholstered bedAllisonThe color and quality of the material are fantastic, and the tufted headboard and drawers make this bed look very expensive. It's such a high quality product, once assembled, it feels rock solid and not like Ikea.
I don't understand some of the reviews- yes, some of the screws can be challenging, but no issues with fit, assembly, the drawers, etc. It just takes a while to put together and you have to read the instructions very carefully.

The bedroom would allow for a dresser so problem solved. I can store things when we are there and when we come home I store things away. I love this bed it is so sleek and beautiful!
