Switch to All foam mattressAngelaI recently replaced my old Ikea hybrid mattress with an All foam mattress. So far it has been a big improvement. I no longer wake up with back pain. I appreciate that its lighter weight and was easy to replace the packaging at the store was also wonderful to Carrie. The only thing I would have liked to have seen was it to be just a couple inches thicker. I know that would have added to its weight but also future support all in all. I think this is a wonderful mattress and great for its price. I will probably continue to buy future mattresses at Ikea.4
Nice for the price!PassionThe bed is soft and comfy. I wish I would have gotten a thicker mattress. I am use to have a thicker mattress from IKEA and just got use to it. Overall this is a solid mattress for the money. I would purchase it again,3
SinkingLibertyBought it Nov 2025 and now its sinking. Uncomfortable to sleep, i woke up everyday my back is hurting. Will return it1
One starMuhammadI used it for a month and it became so soft that it can no longer be used.1
No Cushion; Too FirmJennaWe bought this medium firm mattress almost a year ago. There has never been any give with it, and it never broke in like we were told when we tried to return it within the initial policy date, as they recommended we keep it and give it a few more months. A few more months has done nothing but make it unable to be returned, because it is still as a hard as a rock to sleep on and it definitely doesn’t feel like there is any memory foam on it. We are all a family of side sleepers, so it doesn’t work for any of us without giving serious back pain.1
So good I bought two!AmyIt’s the perfect firm. Not like laying on the floor, just enough to make the hips not hurt. Highly recommend!5
Absolutely waste of moneyVenkata Sunil NaiduTook it for firmness, but the mattress can't hold even me who weighs 145 lb, it just goes down at be hip area and below.... The display piece at IKEA vs the delivered are totally opposite. Never try this if you are looking for firmness1
I liked it so much I bought another one.AmyIt’s a firm mattress but not like wood firm. Easy to roll over and sleep on side or stomach. Super comfy. Also love the zipper cover!!!5
NiceOlenaGood mattress. I recommend to buy it during warm weather so you could open up windows. After opening it smells a lot, like cookies I’d say, but I didn’t like that. So having that “evaporation” from mattress caused some discomfort during winter time as it stayed longer than indicated in manual5
Too soft. Buy Anneland FirmJuanI bought Akrehamn Firm Queen. It's too soft. Then I went to a store and bought a hybrid Anneland Firm.2
Incorrect King Size DimensionsRahulThe mattress is good and firm; however, the length and width are smaller than a standard king size, so I had to return it.1
Not as hard as expectedFatemaAfter reading the reviews I thought finally I found the right one. Unfortunately not. It’s not that firm at all.1
Review of Firm and Medium FirmAmandaI initially purchased the medium firm Queen Akrehamn because they did not have Firm in stock. It felt squishy and soft at first; it also does not exactly match either a true Queen measurements or the measurements listed for this product online, being about 1" shorter. I thought it might "expand" but it didn't meaningfully change after 2 months. Over several weeks I came to like the softness and I slept comfortably. To echo what others have said, it is a warm mattress so you might want a cool topper in a warm climate. I did exchange it for the Queen Akrehamn Firm and it feels like a completely different product; it is very firm, and, weirdly, its dimension are also more true to the website, it is LONGER than the medium firm. Overall, keep in mind the levels of firmness here are very different from each other. Both levels of firmness are an excellent value for a mattress.5
Holds heat, poor qualityGrantSeemed like it was decent quality when I first unrolled it but turned out to be a complete waste of money.
First, it holds heat like no mattress I have ever slept on before, and I have owned foam mattresses in the past that were at least manageable in this regard.
Second, after several nights of hot and uncomfortable sleep, I realized the entire mattress is noticeablely wavy even though it's on a very solid platform bed. Not sure if it was like this at first and I didn't notice or it became like this over a few days, but it's surely contributing to my discomfort.
In the end, Ikea only offers exchanges not refunds so after this horrible experience, I will going back to mattress shopping elsewhere and will dispose of this awful bed even though it's only a month old.
Thanks IKEA, really enjoyed dealing with this mid December into January.1
Super firmKristenVery firm for a foam mattress. It hasn't softened since I bought it a few months ago the way other firm mattresses have.5
95%- minor damageLaurenceWithout commenting on the comfort, my mattress arrived with a smudge and a tuft of fiber ( more than a pill) showing on the cover. I think a few stitches will hold it down, it's not serious. I suspect this happened in warehousing/shipping4
Very Good twin mattressCynthiaThis mattress is comfortable and higher quality. I’ve even slept on it. Taken a nap on it with my 2 year old grandson.5
FirmBetsyThe mattress is a little firmer than I expected.3
Quality mattressMonicQuite thin, but it is a quality mattress for the price. I am not struggling with back pain and you can’t beat the price. Pair with a good box spring and this is better than many thousand dollar mattresses.5
Only for back sleepersVasureeNot for all positions sleepers. I don’t recommend for side sleepers at all. It will give a lot of pain on your back3
