Room-brightening MirrorAndreaI bought 2 Hovets, one for a landing on a dark stairwell, and the other to hang over a three seater sofa in the living room. In both places it instantly brightened and visually opened up the area.
I was able to transport and hang both mirrors myself. I used a long strip of cardboard from the box to make a template for the holes and then taped the template to the wall…worked great!
The mirror is sturdy and reflects evenly, no distortion in mine. The simple black frame gives off a modern vibe and updated my living room. My adult kids all liked the change. It’s a fantastic mirror for the price and I am even thinking I might get a third one for the entry.5

Ridiculous price increasesJonathanI saw this mirror last year for around $90 and now it is listed at $170. There is absolutely no reason for a simple mirror to nearly double in price in just a year. And it is not just this item. Many other IKEA products have significantly increased in price too.
IKEA used to be a reliable and affordable home brand, but these price hikes make it feel like they have lost touch with what made customers loyal in the first place. It is disappointing to see affordability disappear while the quality stays the same.1
When this thing breaks it SHATTERSVirginiaLoved our Hovet mirror, but we opened a window and I can only assume wind got behind it and it fell onto our bed and shattered. The tiniest shards of glass are everywhere. Don’t even know what to do fully. So if you’re going to get it be careful where you put it1
Its huge! Made for big people like me!JasonIt's a mirror. Works as intended. I'm not a vampire. If you do plan to hang it up. Make sure the wall can support it. It is slightly heavy to mount to the drywall IMO. I have mine leaning against the wall.5

Mounting hardware is insufficient RicardoLove the mirror but the hardware provided is no where near durable enough to hold this mirror up. 2 little bolts that don't go more than 1/4 inch into the wall....had to use my own hardware 1
Perfect mirrorTamaraOur son has this mirror and we had a smaller beveled glass one. My husband kept going to our son’s to use so I had to replace the smaller mirror for this one. It’s a nice size for a full length mirror. 5
