Product details

With this daybed you quickly and easily create space for overnight guests. Just pull out the bed base and you get a double bed in no time.

With some soft, fluffy pillows as back support, you easily transform this day-bed into a comfortable sofa.

The large drawers have space for extra duvets, pillows, linens or other things you need to store, but want to have close at hand.

The high frame creates a cozy cocoon feeling, and is lacquered so that it's easy to maintain.

  • The daybed must be combined with two twin mattresses. They are placed on top of each other when you use the daybed as a single bed, and next to each other when you use it as a double bed.

    Coordinates with other furniture in the HEMNES series.

    Mattress and bedlinens are sold separately.

    Slatted bed base is included.

    The daybed is not to be used as two single beds; it should only be used as a double bed when the bed base is pulled out.

HmmKarenDon’t be fooled by the nice display—this bed frame is a complete disappointment. One of the wood panels arrived already cracked, and the drawer wood is just a bunch of cheap scraps glued together. As soon as we tried screwing it in, it split apart. The assembly was an absolute nightmare. We’ve bought frames from TEMU with clearer instructions and actual bolts and nuts that hold things together properly. This one? Flimsy, frustrating, and not worth the money. The quality is nowhere near acceptable. Avoid. 1

Disappointed JillianIKEA makers of Hemnes bed changed so much back when I got it in 2016. The drawers were much larger and further back so you could put more clothes in. I feel as though now the Product is cheaply made, everything is much thinner and flimsy, and the instructions were horrible to follow! 2

Solid wood surfaces are easy to clean and keep the cats from tearing the upholstery. Once assembled, (what a chore), it is solid and fits the space and our needs.5

Not the bestJohnLoved the idea, but in execution it falls short. First of all, it was very difficult to put together with 2 people. I would recommend having a professional to help. The mattress always feels like it is on an incline, which makes it pretty uncomfortable to sleep on as a twin bed, but one of the extender slats already snapped (I've had the bed for 2 months and I'm not that big of a person, nor was I doing anything crazy on the bed), so it's no longer really usable as a queen either unless I buy replacement pieces. Kind of not sure what to do now as this is my only bed that I have to sleep on every night. Going back I would just spend the extra money and get something better quality.2

Material

What is fibreboard?

Fiberboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fiberboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
