Quality of pieces, not the best1
Missing parts, poor customer serviceTimPurchased this daybed at an Ikea about an hour from my home. During assembly, we realized we were missing the back panel of the pull-out section...one of the largest pieces. I called customer support and was assured that Ikea would ship a panel. I checked in with the customer service chat a few days later and was told it would ship within 24 hours. A few days later, I had to call customer service again and was told that there were no updates to my case and that I have make the hour trip back to the store in my "free time," where I'm sure I will be met with more resistance to get Ikea's screw-up remedied. I have always been impressed with Ikea's efficiency, however it seems that their quality control has dropped off. I would recommend unboxing your purchase in the parking lot if you want to avoid making two trips.1
It’s hard to build but looks goodConnieGreat size and storage is spacious4
RecommendAntonioif purchased I recommend paying to have it installed and buying the mattresses it comes with, I purchased twin mattresses on amazon, and both do not fit properly when the bed is fully extended. It is a very nice and sturdy piece, however assembly was very time consuming by myself and the instructions got a bit confusing at times otherwise it is a beautiful and sturdy piece of furniture perfect for someone look to save space during the day or just someone that wants an extra bed when guests are over5
Really hard to put togetherGloriaThere are soo many pieces for this bed. It was 4 boxed. Who wants to pack up 4 boxes to return 1 item?
The time it to to put it together just isn't worth it. No more Ikea furniture for me.5
Super cute & cozyDanielleLove this so much - great sage green, soft gold knobs. My daughter loves her new bed - she decorated her new room & this goes perfectly with the other accessories she chose. Her favorite color.5
Lovely DaybedMeaganThis daybed is a great option for a guest bedroom or potentially children’s room. The drawers are large, fits a king size pillow with room to spare. Assembly is tedious, but manageable. Took my husband and I about 3 hours with a few minimal breaks. I do suggest watching a YouTube video on the assembly as well, to reference along with the manual provided.5
Poor quality wood baseImranAfter one month use the wood base of this day bed was cracked broken1
Perfect for dorm lifeChanKiddo loves it!5
HEMNES Day BedCarynWe bought this bed for a small room that needed storage space. The bed looks beautiful and has plenty of space in large drawers that are wide and deep. Very comfortable with a good mattress.5
Good QualityLindsayVery nice and sturdy daybed. The drawers are much larger than expected. Did take about six hours to put together.5
Looks great, but regret buying JaredWe admired this for years in store, and when we finally made the purchase it just didn’t live up to expectations. It’s difficult to extend to daybed, and the mattress slats are so cheap that multiple have snapped easily with no replacement options. Wish it had been better designed or made of more sturdy materials for the steep price. We have the stacking beds and they are way more sturdy. 1
Great look and utility, some issues with mechanicsRobertOverall we really like this bed and our guests have enjoyed staying and sleeping on it. The problem is that when it's converted into the full size bed, the frame flexes just enough that you can't push it back in again without getting into the middle and lifting up the slats so the bottom portion can be pushed back in again. It would be better if it was designed with just a tiny bit of overlap so this wouldn't happen. It can be very difficult for one person to convert it back into a day bed.3
Flimsy materialSureshI am very disappointed with this IKEA pull-out bed. While the instructions were fairly easy to follow, the assembly took nearly 3 hours, which was much longer than expected.
The bed itself feels very flimsy and doesn’t seem sturdy. The pull-out section is difficult to slide in and out, making it inconvenient to use on a daily basis. The storage compartment is another major disappointment—it does not have a soft-close mechanism, so it slams shut every time, which is both noisy and frustrating.
Overall, the quality does not match my expectations. I would not recommend this bed if you’re looking for something sturdy, smooth to operate, and well-designed.2
Absolute nightmare to buildStephanieThe directions are terrible, everything is packed in the most confusing way - pieces for step 1 in box 4, screws packed in a non-logical way, it's like they are just setting you up for failure. The screws for the knobs are impossible, they don't go into the knobs all the way. After all that, the bottom part doesn't slide out very well, but I'm not about to take this thing apart. I would definitely not recommend it as a regularly used bed, ours will only be used very occasionally for guests, so I'm less concerned about the bottom breaking. At the very least, save yourself the headache and get a task rabbit to put it together.2
Great additional sleeping option!BrianDaybed is perfect for our family needs. We bought it for an option for visiting guests and for our children to have sleepovers with friends.5
Love this new bed!BarbVery solidly made and easy to pull out the trundle. Love it!5
Do not buy this bedAaronBed barely lasted a month, cheap wood used for supports and break easily. It’s hard to open and closed. Contacted support multiple times requesting replacement parts and never sent. Stay away for this bed1
MI’m sing piecesMarybethMissing pieces and confusing graphics led to us getting to the end and having to unbuild part and rebuild.4
Exactly what my preteen was looking for.JolendaWe decided on this grown-up-friendly addition to my daughter's room.5
