Solid, sturdy and beautiful AnonymousI purchased this queen size bed three years ago and it is still sturdy- never squeaks. I thought it was easy to put together. I’m a 43 yr old woman and did it myself in an hour. I like that you can adjust the bed slat rails depending on how thick your mattress is. I’m sensitive to smells and the bed never smelled with any sort of varnish smell. I love the look, sturdiness, ease of assembly and the price so much I recently decided it was the best option when we upgraded my daughter’s bed. Second time around it was just as easy to put together. 5
StylishChristopherEasy to build, stylish. Solid, don’t hear any sounds from it 5
THEY CHANGED THIS PRODUCTDalalI was so excited to buy this set. I knew it WAS real solid wood. I came to purchase and saw it CHANGED to VENEER. Horrible!! Not to mention price is so high for cheap terrible quality. WE WANT REAL NATURAL PRODUCTS.1
NOT solid wood/birch anymore - now particleboard/veneerJaylaI second the other reviewer - this is now particleboard on the side/head/foot boards with veneer. Disappointing to make this with inferior product, making a less sturdy, more squeaky bed only to save on manufacturing costs (yet charging much more). That's greed versus quality and customer-focused. Go back to solid birch products that last forever instead of cheap glue-based particleboard that breaks, squeaks, splits, chips, and gets thrown away in landfills every few years. 1
6 years and going strongLindseyI've had this bed for 6 years. It's the best! Took it apart and put back together for 3 moves and no issues at all. 5
Looks amazing. SandraGreat bed. Looks good. 5
Well made bedAnonymous reviewerI like the look of this bed a lot and it is sturdy but it took 2 hours to put together. The sides are veneer and it splintered when I put in the bolts, which hasn’t happened with other IKEA beds I’ve assembled. Other than that, it’s very sturdy to sleep on and looks like hard wood. The pillows on the headboard are a nice touch and washable. 4
Bjorksnas - nice frame!BethEasy to assemble, sturdy, simple look - just what we wanted5
Easy to put together JamesThis was an easy assembly. The instructions were clearly written and demonstrated. The bed is solidly constructed. Without reservations we would purchase it again!5
Great looks, confortable easy to make. Dolores Cushions in back nice but harder to make bed.5
very nice bed and not too hard to assembleAlWe are very pleased with this bed. It looks really nice and feels quite sturdy. Assembly was not too bad at all, and I am not particularly handy.5
We love this bedMaryLove this bed. Style fits with our Shaker inspired bedroom furniture. Love rhe pillow headboard. Planning on making covers to match out comforter.4
Why change material from solid wood to particleboardAnonymousI have this bed from before 2020, and it was solid birch. I also have the matching dresser and side table.
Recently, I was looking to get a second bed, and wanted this by default. Except, this is now particleboard, and more expensive than it was the last time I bought it. Hard no. Why would you keep the same name, and change materials ? It's very baity !
Head/foot board/ Bedside: Particleboard, Birch veneer, Clear acrylic lacquer

Beautiful, but So squeaky.LizAs much as I wanted to love the bed, it makes way too much noise. Purchased a King size, spent two hours assembling it, only to be woken up in the middle of the night on the first night to squeaking and creaking with the slightest movement. Retightened all the screws and bolts, and still so noisy. This is one of the “sturdier” beds you can find at Ikea, but seriously disappointed in the quality. I will be taking the bed apart and making the 30 mile drive to return it. 2
Great stylish bed!FloraLove it!5
Beautiful simple designShannonThis bed is very well made and easy to assemble. It looks very rich and on trend. I would highly recommend this line at Ikea.5
Great buy! Sleek for adults, classic for kidsJessicaI've had this a few years in my daughter's room and we have moved twice taking it apart and putting it back together and still it's one of the sturdiest beds we have in the house. Highly recommend. 5
Easier than I thought! GeorgeFirst I'll say that we love the style and support and it is a beautifully constructed piece. I put it together entirely myself with the aid of a couple of spare boxes for support when putting the long pieces together. The instructions and parts for the bed were all there and clear and everything fit precisely. I was only unhappy with the instructions on putting in the double row of bed slats as the illustrations were quite poor. Once I went on you tube...I found the right way to do things and it was a snap. Ikea needs to improve this section though. I really like the ability to choose the best level for the mattress. Hopefully this one will be with us for the long term as it is built so well. 5
Holes too small for hardwareArielI was on a roll assembling the frame until I couldn't get the screws into the side support slat holes. I had to go buy a drill and drill out larger holes, making sure to not drill all the way through the board. The drill was also necessary for putting the screws in and tightening them after the holes were large enough. It was annoying because the instructions only said that a screwdriver was needed. Also, Ikea needs to drill the right sized holes. The instructions also said that 2 people were needed to do the assembly but I was able to assemble it on my own. I just had to prop up the side panels with some crates I had lying around. I do have it all set now so after all that extra work I have everything all set to pass out!2
Just what I wantedSusanI have been waiting for this king size frame and it was finally at the store. Assembly was easy. Put together in less than an hour.5
