Not worth the price or effort for the qualityElizabethI recently ordered another ikea product, my first in a while, and I was pleasantly surprised how much innovation had happened in the building technology, and how nice the quality was. So while still riding my ikea high, I then purchased some BESTA pieces. This line is the type that gives Ikea a bad rap. The "wood" is basically glorified cardboard. I'm not sure this even counts as particle board. The "directions" are general since this system can be built in a lot of different ways. But I didn't buy a bunch of LEGO pieces to dream up something original. I bought the piece of furniture that was marketed on the site. That should have included clear directions for how to build THAT piece (even though it's made up of modular components). Frustrating. Finally, I'll accept some fault in not reading the other reviews, but I thought the price reflected higher quality. It did not. Lesson learned. Stay away from BESTA. It's kind of the WORSTA.

Frankenstein’s monster of furniture JasonThis cabinet is made from parts whose original purpose was a different piece of furniture. This thing comes in about 20 boxes. Some boxes with only 1-2 pieces in them. The 3 “cubbies” that you see are actually 1 double cubbie and 1 singular cubbie that is tacked on to the side. You can see in the photo there is a missing foot where they double cubbie and single cubbie are joined. The top is also held on by what is basically double sided tape.
There are no instructions on how to assemble it into the cabinet you see in the picture, only instructions on how to assemble the components that this cabinet is composed of (the single cubbie, the double cubbies, the drawers, shelf install…). But it’s not that hard to reason how to put them all together.
I strongly recommend you do not buy this cabinet unless they start making parts that are dedicated to cabinet (1 tripple cubbie and a way actually screw the top on). I appreciate the modularity of ikea furniture but this is actually absurd.
PainMajThis was one of the most painful pieces of ikea furniture I've ever had to assembled and I built at least 40 shelves, tables, and cabinets for a school, The instructions are very unclear, each unit to build this godforsaken piece of furniture was sold separately and we had to go around and gather it ourselves, and IT DOESNT EVEN COME WITH/TELL YOU WHERE TO GET THE HANDLES TO OPEN OR CLOSE THE DRAWERS!!!!!! The hinges are a nightmare to work with. This only furthers my opinion ikea needs to start a youtube channel where one guy just builds every piece of furniture yall have, youd probably make more money that way anyways. Whoever is reading this, buy a different cabinet, this is way too overpriced for the headache that it causes.
