Adjustable hinges allow you to adjust the door horizontally and vertically.

This combination is made of several separate units. Use BESTÅ top panel, sold separately, to cover the joint between the frames and create a uniform look.
The push-open function requires a space between the frame and the drawer front to allow the drawer to be pushed to open. The small gap is necessary to allow this function and is not a product deviation.

Money pit AnnWe have had this item for a couple years now and it just keeps getting worse. Within a month the drawers and doors sag and don’t line up, and we’ve tried so hard to fix it. It was so expensive we’ve just been living with it but it’s terrible and had only gotten worse. For some reason it’s in two pieces you can to put together and I think that’s one of it’s biggest downfalls because the top is not level. Recently one of the doors fell off. It’s really said cause for a min it was really perfect and then all feel apart.

Would be much easier if materials were all together for the unit rather than separate with separate instructions for each piece. Also instructions have variations for different setups...again confusing. Also, product waste as there are pieces for different setups.
It’s perfect RachelI’m obsessed with the light oak color! It was fairly easy to assemble and comes in two separate frames, a two door unit and a one door unit, that can be pushed together or secured with the included screws for a seamless look. I’m very happy with this purchase.
Owned for 2 years- DO NOT BUY THISAshleyit’s the biggest eye sore of my house, I waited two years to write this review and every day I have stared at this cabinet and hated it. The doors don’t line up, it’s a two piece item so it’s never truly lined up no matter what. I mean it’s a crime that this is still on sale (and over $100 more expensive than I paid for it in summer 2024 by the way)
Don’t waste your moneyAineThis is honestly the worst piece of furniture I have ever bought. The drawers do not align & I even paid for a carpenter to put it together. He had to create extra holes in order for it to work. Before we adjusted the unit I went back and forth with IKEA customer service and all they did was waste my time instead of taking responsibility for selling a faulty product. They wanted me to return the whole unit to the IKEA store. Which would have involved forking out more money in order to rent a truck/ van big enough. I’m so unbelievably disappointed with this tv unit and with IKEAs customer service and cannot believe I spent close to $500 on this junk. I read the reviews for this product and figured it couldn’t be that bad. Well take it from me and DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

It also only says to grab 4 leg pieces but in fact you need 8 and the feet will not look as pictured. I wouldn’t buy this. Now we have to make a trip back to IKEA for 4 feet attachments

It looks nice in pictures but when you assemble it, none of the drawers or doors lineup and it’s impossible to get them to lineup. Worst Ikea we’ve ever boughtLesleyThe Besta was delivered in multiple parts, which should have told us it would be a pain to build. Having built many Ikea items over the years, most things come in 2-3 boxes max. The instructions were terrible, and we had to figure stuff out by process of elimination, and a few redos. This should be an easy build, but it was made complicated for no reason. The main cabinet was very wobbly, and couldn’t be tightened, however stabilized once the drawers were put in place. The overall finished look was ok, not sure how long it will last. All of our other Ikea pieces have lasted years and survived multiple moves, not sure this one will hold up long enough to put it in the place we bought for. The picture online is also a bit deceiving as it looks from certain angles that the top is one piece and it’s actually two. These are 2 pieces joined together to make a longer cabinet. This is not made clear, maybe if we’d bought it store it would have been more obvious.
Do NOT buy thisMarianaI made the mistake of not reading the reviews before buying this item. The photos made it look great, but when it arrived, it came in multiple boxes with no instructions on how to assemble it. It took me hours to figure it out on my own, and even after all that effort:
The drawers don’t align properly
The two cabinets don’t connect correctly
The material feels extremely cheap
The piece is basically unusable.
I contacted IKEA customer service, and they are arranging a pickup so I can return it. Unfortunately, now I have to disassemble this whole thing — which is going to be another nightmare just to end this experience.

I am not a fan and wish I had not ordered itScottHere are my opinions of the BESTA storage combination with drawers: It is not a good product and I'm sorry I ordered it. The online picture color is misleading. The particle board and fasteners are low quality. The drawers are misaligned and there is no way to make small adjustments so that the doors will open and close separately -- so the drawers are unusable. It is not good value for money. I once thought IKEA offered good value but I no longer have that opinion based on this product.
looks great, but otherwise awfulThomasThis looks great, but it is a nightmare to get squared. After assembling, the doors don't close properly, the drawers don't close properly, the frames are wobbly, and I'm not sure how the two parts are supposed to screw together. I could probably fiddle around with it and fix most of those problems, but the drawers aren't even adjustable. I've been assembling Ikea furniture for decades, but this is one of the worst pieces I have encountered. Even the materials are uniformly cheap. For the nearly $600 price point, I expected better. It will cost me another few hundred dollars to have this removed by a junk removal company. What a total waste of money and time.
Confusing assembly-easily scratchedBophaThe fact that there was no whole piece assembly instructions made it a little challenging. I know that IKEA products are not high end but for the price this should have been much sturdier. The pieces also scratch so easily. I should have read the reviews before purchasing as this piece will not last long. Very unhappy!
Not as picturedTamaraOrdered this online for delivery so did not see it in-store but it is not as pictured online once assembled. This storage combination is 2 cabinets that don't attach and therefore the top of the unit isn't one piece as shown and has a visible separation. One of the cabinets is crooked using the assembly holes as is so had to drill to readjust. The part that really bothers me though. Is the legs on the bottom. Due to the cabinet being multiple pieces, the legs are not evenly spaced across the bottom as shown in the picture and makes it look cheap. I paid for the delivery as the closest store is an hours drive. At this point, I'd have to unassemble it, and drive it back to return it. They need to chane the online photos to reflect what this piece(es) actually look like assembled because for $400 I would like to get what's advertised.
How can they sell this with no unified instructions?TylerThis order comes to you in 20 different packages/pieces. There is no single instruction booklet to follow step by step to get what you see pictured here. You have to build each individual item one by one and then "figure out" how to connect them and where everything should be by looking at the pictures. It's the worse piece of ikea furiture I've purchased and the quality is "Cheap ikea" particle board quality yet the price is almost $700 and I've paid less than that for solid wood "expensive ikea" quality and I'm very disappointed that IKEA would do this
Not sturdy, uneven cabinets, not as pictures, not worth the priceJericaThis was so disappointing for the price. This is two units of furniture, not one, so two pieces sit next to each other, creating a top that is not one piece. The cabinets do not align and are both crooked. This is extremely flimsy and overpriced. Highly disappointed. I should get around to returning it.
