What is IKEAs return policy?
Your satisfaction with your IKEA purchase is important to us. If you are not completely happy or simply changed your mind, you can return your products. IKEA will provide a full refund for items returned with proof of purchase during this period.
You can only return or exchange products bought from IKEA US stores, via remote shopping or from the IKEA US website. If you have bought your IKEA products abroad, these cannot be returned in IKEA US. A product can be returned if it has been opened or assembled, and the original packaging is not required. If you want to exchange an item, you need to return it first and then make a new purchase.
If you’re not totally satisfied with your IKEA purchase you can return new and unopened products within 365 days, together with your proof of purchase, for a full refund. You may also return open products within 180 days, with your proof of purchase, for a full refund.
Refunds will be made in the same form of payment originally used to make the purchase.
We do not accept returns on plants, cut fabric, custom countertops and as-is products. We are unable to refund or exchange your items if your merchandise is found to be modified from its original form when purchased, dirty, stained, or damaged. We apologize for any inconvenience.
IKEA will give you a full refund after an assessment has been conducted and IKEA is reasonably satisfied that the products are returned to IKEA in re-sellable condition. You also cannot make any modifications to the product. Any modifications you do to a product such as drilling holes, painting or removing parts during use, will void the warranty, as it no longer functions the way it was designed and may have ruined the integrity of the product's structure.
